HAPPENING TONIGHT: Join Rochester LGBTQ+ Together for Fiber Arts Club (typically on 4th Tuesdays monthly) for a *Special Date Swap* with Arts & Crafts Club (typically on 2nd Tuesdays monthly) tonight for at Rainbow Seniors ROC Community Center (346 N. Goodman St.), 6:00pm. All ages. Free.

🌈🧶 You bring your fiber arts projects and supplies (braiding, crocheting, felting, knitting, macrame, quilting, weaving, etc.) - and we provide the space, along with beverages and a light snack! Limited supplies will also be available for those who don’t have their own!

♿️ Accessibility: The parking lot is paved and sidewalk has a dip. The venue has two all-gender, accessible restrooms. This location is nearby numerous bus routes.

HAPPENING TONIGHT: Join Rochester LGBTQ+ Together on 2nd Mondays monthly at 6:30pm for our Le***an & Q***r Women Peer Support & Discussion Group, a discussion and socialization group for le***an and q***r identifying women. 18+ only. This group meets virtually via Zoom.

Rochester LGBTQ+ Together acknowledges that we exist and gather for programs and events on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Onöndowa’ga, or “the people of the Great Hill.” In English, they are known as Seneca people, “the keeper of the western door.” Together, with the Mohawk, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, and Tuscarora, the Seneca make up the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy. We pay our respects to their elders past and present.

On this Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we reaffirm that we value, honor and respect the cultures, history, and invaluable contributions of indigenous Americans, the original occupants of the land on which we currently live and work. We also recognize and encourage you to take time to thoughtfully consider the horrors and generational harms of white supremacy - genocide, colonialism, displacement, forced assimilation, racism, and more.

Today and every day, we celebrate the resilience of indigenous Americans and recognize the sovereignty of Tribal Nations.

HAPPENING TODAY: Join Rochester LGBTQ+ Together on 2nd and 4th Sundays monthly at 1:00pm for our Rainbow Hike Crew program to enjoy exercise, nature and socialization with community. In 2026, our Rainbow Hikes are presented with support from Program Sponsor Genesee Land Trust. 🎉 We will have Progress Pride flag drawstring bags and travel-sized first aid kits available as free giveaways for attendees! 🎉 Hikes typically last about two hours, but may run longer. Open to members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and allies. 18+ only.

🌲🥾 About this Hike: Our October 11 location is Beaver Lake Nature Center in Baldwinsville, NY and we’re delighted to be joined by our friends at CNY Hiking! “Explore 670 acres of natural habitat and 9 miles of trails at Beaver Lake Nature Center. Most trails are classified as easy and are designed for nature study and observation. Please be mindful of others and of wildlife; always yield to the nature observer; and walk, never run, by another visitor. Trail maps are available at the Visitor Center welcome desk or attached.”

🚗💸 Admission: $5/car paid upon exit. Cash ($1 and $5 bills) and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover) accepted. Change for large bills available at Visitor Center welcome desk.

🗺️🅿️ Travel & Parking: Beaver Lake Nature Center is located at 8477 East Mud Lake Rd., Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Google Plus Code: 5HJX+73 Baldwinsville, New York. We will park in the parking lot and meet adjacent in front of the Visitor Center (or inside the lobby if it’s rainy) at 1:00pm. Then, we’ll depart together at approximately 1:05-1:10pm.

♿️🏔️ Accessibility & Difficulty: The parking lots and paths to the Visitor Center are flat and paved. Some trails are dirt and others are wooden boardwalks. Be prepared for some muddy/wet areas, possible. This hike is rated as easy to moderate difficulty level.

🧢🚭 Health & Safety: Smoking, va**ng, alcohol and substance use are strictly prohibited while hiking with our group. Weather appropriate clothing, footwear, apparel and rain/sun protection are strongly encouraged. Bring your own hydration too! While we love them, youth and pets are both prohibited on our hikes for safety reasons.

⚠️✅ Liability Release: This program is an informal gathering of fellow hikers, nature lovers and community members. Each participant assumes personal responsibility for their safety and well-being and removes liability from the group.

HAPPENING NOW: The 3rd annual Rochester Q***r Arts Festival, presented by Drag Me to the Stage, is on Saturday, October 10, 10:00am-5:00pm at Village Gate Square. Highlights include community organization tabling, sales vendors, food, performances, and more! October 8 is International Le***an Day. Today, and every day, Rochester LGBTQ+ Together see and celebrates our amazing le***an followers and friends. During this LGBT+ History Month, we also honor and remember the key role that le***ans played in caring for gay and q***r men during the height of the AIDS crisis. ❤️🧡🤍🩷
