Today, we remember and honor the life of Joyce Magee, whose passing brings another profound loss to a family and community that has already experienced so much.

Joyce was the mother of Jaimie, whose life and legacy continue to be at the heart of Jaimie’s Bridge. We extend our deepest sympathy to Joyce’s family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

While our hearts are heavy, there is something deeply comforting in imagining Joyce and Jaimie reunited once again. May they both be remembered for the love they gave, the lives they touched, and the lasting impact they leave behind.

Meet our final Jaimie’s Bridge Class of 2026 Scholar, Aaron Robinson! 🎓✨

Aaron has attended Rochester Prep since kindergarten and is excited to begin his journey at Union College.

Aaron has long been interested in business and entrepreneurship. During his junior year of high school, he started a car detailing business with a friend, gaining firsthand experience in leadership, customer service, and hard work. More recently, he has developed an interest in business analytics and the ways data can help drive smart decision-making.

By studying economics and business analytics, Aaron hopes to build valuable skills, connect with a wide range of people, and create opportunities that may one day help him own and operate his own business.

As a first-generation college student, Aaron is motivated by his dream of achieving success and setting a positive example for his younger siblings. He is determined to make the most of every opportunity and inspire those around him through his accomplishments.

Aaron will be attending Union College to study Business, and we are so proud to support him as he begins this exciting next chapter.

Meet our third Jaimie’s Bridge Class of 2026 Scholar, Alex Lindor! 🎓✨

Alex has been part of the Rochester Prep community since second grade, where he embraced a rigorous academic environment that helped shape him into the hardworking, respectful, and dependable student he is today.

Throughout his time at Rochester Prep, Alex discovered a passion for science and technology. Opportunities such as Capstone, Robotics, and physics courses fueled his curiosity and strengthened his love for STEM, inspiring him to continue exploring the possibilities that technology and innovation can create.

This fall, Alex will attend Rochester Institute of Technology, where he looks forward to building on the knowledge and experiences that sparked his passion for learning.

We are proud to support Alex as he begins this exciting new chapter and can’t wait to see where his dedication, curiosity, and drive will take him.

Meet our second Jaimie’s Bridge Class of 2026 Scholar, Aniyah Washington! 🎓✨

Aniyah has attended Rochester Prep since Kindergarten and is excited to continue her educational journey at SUNY Brockport, where she plans to study Forensic Science.

Inspired by her love of STEM and crime investigation, Aniyah is passionate about using science to help others and make a positive impact in her community. She hopes to contribute to solving cases and reducing the number of crimes left unresolved through her future work as a forensic scientist.

Her interest in science began at a young age, watching her mother pursue a nursing career and exploring anatomy textbooks together. Those early experiences sparked a curiosity that has grown into a clear vision for her future.

Aniyah’s dream is to build a successful career while serving as a role model for her younger siblings. We are proud to support her as she takes this exciting next step and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes.

Meet our first Jaimie’s Bridge Class of 2026 Scholar, Zachariah Louis! 🎓✨

Zachariah has attended Rochester Prep since 7th grade and recently committed to Rochester Institute of Technology, where he will continue pursuing his longtime dream of becoming a computer scientist.

His passion for technology began at a young age, inspired by the rapid innovation he witnessed growing up. Today, he hopes to use technology to help, entertain, and inform others while creating meaningful solutions through software and computer science.

For Zachariah, higher education is more than a personal achievement—it’s an opportunity to rise above generational poverty and build a brighter future.

We are proud to support Zachariah as he begins this exciting new chapter and can’t wait to see all he accomplishes.
