♻️🐾 BOTTLE & CAN DRIVE FOR MEDICAL BILLS! 🐾♻️

Our medical bills have been piling up, and we’re asking our amazing community to help us turn your empty bottles and cans into much-needed veterinary care! ❤️

Between Rain’s unexpected intestinal blockage and surgery, Sally’s continued medical care and procedures, and Bert & Ernie’s upcoming neuters, it has been one expensive stretch for Ridge’s Rescue. Every returnable truly adds up and helps us keep saying YES when our animals need us. 🩺🐶🐱

📅 Saturday, October 24th
⏰ 1 PM – 4 PM
📍 Dryclean Express
557 Whitney Road West
Fairport, NY 14450

♻️ WHAT TO BRING:
Bring us your NYS returnable bottles and cans! Bag them up, toss them in your car, and we’ll take it from there.

💰 Every 5¢ goes directly toward helping with our animals’ medical expenses.
Hosting a football party, fall get-together, or just have bags of empties taking up space? SAVE THEM FOR US! 🏈🍂

No donation is too small. One bag becomes another, and together those nickels can make a BIG difference.

🐾 SAVE YOUR CANS. SAVE YOUR BOTTLES. HELP US PAY THE VET BILLS. ❤️

Please SHARE and help us fill the drive with returnables for Rain, Sally, Bert, Ernie, and the other animals in our care!

🧡🌿 HONORING INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ DAY 🌿🧡

Today, Ridge’s Rescue joins communities across the country in recognizing and honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

We celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples, while acknowledging their resilience, strength, and continued presence in our communities.

Here in Western New York, we recognize that we live and work on the ancestral homelands of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy, whose connection to this land continues today.

❤️ Today is an opportunity to listen, learn, reflect, and celebrate the Indigenous communities who have shaped our past and continue to enrich our present and future.

🐾 From all of us at Ridge’s Rescue, Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day!

💌 DEAR SHY STAR’S FUTURE FAMILY…

We don’t know who you are, where you live, or why you haven’t found her yet. But we need you to know this:

She’s waiting for you. ❤️

Shy Star has been with us for over a year. Somehow, this approximately 5-year-old girl is still waiting for someone to see everything we see in her.

When you meet her, she may not show you her whole heart right away. She can be cautious at first, especially with men, and needs patience and time to feel safe.

Please give her that time.

Because once you’re one of her people, you’ll understand why we love her so much.

You’ll get ridiculous wigglebutt greetings. 🥹 You’ll discover how much she LOVES food—including veggies. 🥕 You’ll watch her zoom around the yard and happily destroy the peace with squeaky toys.

And we hope you’re ready for adventures.

Shy Star is a TOTAL adventure dog. 🏕️🐾

She wants walks, hikes, car rides, exploring, new smells and new places. She wants to be your sidekick.

And when the adventure is over? She’ll be just as happy snuggling with her people. ❤️

A few things to know: She’s dog friendly, but cats aren’t her thing. She’s still working on crate training and may bark or whine briefly before settling, so apartment living probably isn’t her best fit.

She isn’t perfect.

But she doesn’t need you to be perfect either.

She needs someone patient and kind—someone who will give her stability and help her understand she isn’t going anywhere again.

So, Shy Star’s future family…

Wherever you are, we hope you find her soon.

She has waited long enough. There are adventures to take, trails to explore, car rides to enjoy, couches to claim—and a lifetime of wigglebutt greetings saved just for you. ❤️

Love,
The people loving her until you get here 🐾

🏡 Ready to finally find each other?
