📢Thursday was a big day for Kiwanis Club of Rochester!

✨In the morning, we participated in the Neighbors in Action (NIA) grant celebration for the 2026 recipients, and learned that Canandaigua National Bank (CNB) is the most recent partner to help provide funding! NIA was launched by the City of Rochester, NY in September 2025. In January 2025, the City was joined by partners Rochester Area Community Foundation and ESL Federal Credit Union to help fund and administer the program.

The NIA grant offers up to $10,000 (per applicant) in small, community‑led projects across Rochester. Kiwanis Club of Rochester applied for and received $2,500 to help make our 2nd Annual Bike Safety Rodeo (Aug 26th) an even greater success this year!

Thank you again to the NIA grant program!

✨In the afternoon, we went aboard the Rochester By Water RIVERIE out of Corn Hill Landing to have a fun and successful fundraiser for our club! The weather was perfect, the water was calm, the crew was entertaining, and our guests were a fun crowd to be around!

Thank You to each and every one of you that is supporting us and making a positive impact with our youth and community!

Together, we can do GREAT things!

Kiwanis Club of Rochester had a fun and successful 2nd Annual Bike Safety Rodeo on Saturday, August 29th.

Thank you for Lindsay and her team at Monroe County STOP DWI & Traffic Safety for putting together the flyer, registrations, safety stations, helmet fittings, and certificates of completion.

Thank you to the City of Rochester, NY Community Partners: The Community Foundation & ESL Federal Credit Union for rewarding us with our 1st ever NIA (Neighbors in Action) grant!!! This allowed us to give away 9 bicycles, nice helmets, have Mr. Snowie of WNY shaved ice and Arlene's Costumes for face painting!

Thank you to Jennifer, Reggie and team at South Wedge Planning Committee for being our fiduciary for the grant and for your continuous love and support!

Thank you to Nativity Preparatory Academy and St. Bonafice for the use of their parking lot and facilities for this to happen!

Thank you to Cub Scouts Pack #20 for their help before, during, and after & for having fun arts & crafts stations for the kiddos!

Thank you to Rochester Fire Department for having Truck 3 from your South Ave house come hang out for a while!

Thank you to Bert's Bikes & Fitness for the donation of gift cards!

Thank you to Bike Zone in Greece for the amazing deal on the 16" bike!!

Thank you to members of OUR club and members of RIT Circle K for volunteering that day!

The mission of the annual South Wedge Fest is to bring the community together to celebrate the uniqueness of the South Wedge while having fun.

You will have the chance to visit local artists, vendors, food trucks, and the eclectic businesses on South Ave, while grooving to a line-up of homegrown bands.
