A scout is Reverent.

A Scout is Reverent! Today, we celebrate Scout Sunday and the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting, and the strong bond between Scouting and our faith. This day is a special opportunity to recognize those involved in the ministry and invite others to join.

Scout Sunday is a time to reflect on the 12th point of the Scout Law: A Scout is Reverent. This reverence is not just for the Sabbath or Holy Day of your faith, but every day. Let's use this day to spread the word about Scout Sunday, thank our congregation for their support, and invite others to join us in faith and fellowship.

We want to highlight the Chaplain program at Philmont Scout Ranch, a unique opportunity for young adults and Scouters to participate in a faith-based experience. This program allows participants to become closer to their faith while participating in Philmont programs. Happy Scout Sunday to all, and a special shout out to our Chaplains at Philmont Scout Ranch for their dedication and service.

As we celebrate Scout Sunday, let's remember to live fully the twelfth point of the Scout Law, and make every day a new discovery about God, about ourselves, about our relationship with our fellow Scouts, and about God’s magnificent creation.

Last night, Troop 183 recognized the Eagle Scout rank achievement of James Pollard and Aria Kaproth-Joslin. Congratulations James and Aria!!

Unfortunately, Troop 183 will not be selling Christmas trees this year. If you wish to support the Boy Scouts with a Christmas tree purchase, please visit Troop 356 which sells trees at I-Square, which is located at Titus Ave and Cooper Rd OR Troop 127 which sells trees at Seneca School, which is located at the corner of St. Paul and Thomas Ave.

Register to participate in opportunities to work on merit badges offered on weekends
at Camp Woodland while spending time at camp with your troop.
Unit camping facilities are not included and should be reserved separately.
Program fees will be added when merit badge is selected.

If anyone wants to brave the cold and wind, any of our remaining Christmas trees on the lot are now free. They are located in the lot next to the Transfiguration Lutheran Church at 3760 Culver Road.

If you wish to make a donation for your tree, you can do so via Venmo .

Thanks for all of the community's support during our tree sales.
