🖤 WESTERN NY — NANCY DREW IS LOOKING FOR HER RIDE-OR-DIE FAMILY! 🖤

Some dogs just have that best friend energy.

Nancy Drew is one of them. 🐾

At just 8 months old, this gorgeous black Lab mix is sweet, playful, affectionate and ready to find the family she can grow up with.

And her foster family has helped us discover just how special she is:

🐕 Dog friendly — including little dogs! She lives with Chihuahua foster siblings and does great with them.

🐱 Cat friendly! She’s respectful of the cats in her foster home… although she occasionally tries to convince them that playing with her would be WAY more fun. 😂

👧 Kid friendly

💗 Loves people

🧸 Loves carrying toys around

☀️ Loves stretching out in the sunshine

💉 Up-to-date on vaccinations

✂️ Spayed

And apparently, Nancy has a Thumper button. 😂🐰 Give this girl the right neck scratches and that back foot gets going!

But as adorable as she is, what we really want people to notice is the DOG underneath all that cuteness.

Nancy is the kind of dog who could become your ride-or-die companion. The one who goes places with you, hangs out with the family, plays with the other dogs and then curls up nearby at the end of the day.

She’s only 8 months old. She has her whole life ahead of her.

🩵🐾 WESTERN NEW YORK — MEET BRAVO! 🐾🩵

Texas may be where Bravo is currently hanging his leash, but his forever family could be right here in Western New York. ✈️🐶

Bravo is 1 year old and what his foster mom affectionately calls the perfect “schmedium” size 🤣 — the perfect size for adventures, walks, couch time and being your sidekick.

And this boy LOVES being with his people.

His foster mom says Bravo is a good boy on walks and will actually look up to his person for direction. He wants to be by your side and is learning how to enjoy his playtime and then settle down for some well-earned downtime.

And then there’s his greatest love…

🎾 THE BALL.

Throw it. He brings it back.
Throw it again. He’s back.
Again? Absolutely. 😂

Bravo is also:

🐶 Dog friendly and loves playing with other pups who can match his energy
🐱 Cat friendly
👧 Great with kids and enjoys playing with the children in his foster home
🏡 Crate trained and happily goes into his crate for downtime
🐾 Knows basic commands
❤️ Playful, athletic and eager to be part of the family

Bravo can be a little shy when first meeting new people, so he may not immediately run up asking for attention. Give him a little time to feel comfortable and you’ll get to see the happy, goofy, affectionate boy his foster family knows.

Another playful dog could be a wonderful match for him, too — Bravo is often much quicker to say “HELLO, NEW BEST FRIEND!” to a dog. 😂🐾

🚜 BREAKING NEWS 🚜

Dandelion (“Dandi”) has officially declined kennel life and has instead accepted a position as a Farm Equipment Operator.

After spending some time running and playing in her temporary foster’s pasture, Dandi was asked to head back inside.

Dandi’s response?

❌ Go to crate.
✅ Climb onto tractor.

Apparently our girl had somewhere to be.

She marched right up, hopped into the driver’s seat, and looked at her foster like:

“Well? Are we checking fences, moving hay, or just cruising the property today?”

Considering Dandi came to us from the La Grange area, we’re starting to think she may have some farm-girl roots. She looked WAY too comfortable behind the wheel of that tractor. 😂

So if you’ve got a little land, a ranch, a farm, acreage, or even just a riding mower that you take way too seriously, Dandi may be the perfect sidekick.

💔 RIVER WAS SAVED FROM THE EUTHANASIA LIST. BUT TWO YEARS LATER, HE’S STILL WAITING FOR A PLACE TO TRULY CALL HOME. 💔

Two years ago, River’s life was hanging in the balance at Harris County Animal Shelter.

He was on the euthanasia list.

River made it out. He got his second chance. 🩵

But sometimes rescue isn’t finished when a dog walks out of the shelter doors.

For nearly two years, River has been in temporary fostering. He is safe. He is cared for. But what he doesn’t have is the stability of a committed foster home — or, even better, a family of his very own.

And River deserves that.

River is now about 7 years old, and this handsome Malinois still LOVES to get outside, run around and play. Give him a water hose and you may have just made his entire day. 😂💦

He loves people.
He’s affectionate.
He loves being pet and praised.
He’s dog friendly. 🐾
He is not cat friendly.
And underneath that big Malinois exterior is a dog who simply wants to belong to someone.

Temporary fostering kept River alive, and we will forever be grateful for that.

But temporary was never supposed to become two years.

We need someone to look at River and say:

“You can stay with me until your family finds you.”

Or maybe…

“You don’t have to wait anymore. I AM your family.” 🥹🩵

River is currently in Houston, Texas, but don’t let geography stop you from falling in love. Transport can absolutely be arranged for an approved adopter.

Western New York Aussie lovers, meet Twister & Capri! ❤️

These two gorgeous Australian Shepherds may currently be in the Houston, Texas area, but they are searching far and wide for their forever families—and transport to Western New York and other states is available for approved adopters! 🚐🐾

Australian Shepherds are known for their intelligence, loyalty and strong connection to their people. While the breed is often associated with high-energy working dogs, both of these beauties happen to have calmer, more laid-back personalities.

🌪️ TWISTER
Twister is approximately 3 years old and has a stunning red-and-white coat with beautiful eyes. He’s a laid-back guy who is perfectly happy being inside, relaxing on the sofa with his people. 🛋️❤️

✨ CAPRI
Capri is approximately 2 years old, medium-sized, and has an absolutely gorgeous merle coat with striking eyes. She is also a calmer Aussie who would love to find a family of her own.

🐾 PIPPIN IS READY FOR HER FOREVER HOME! 🏡💕

Remember Pippin—the girl who celebrated arriving at her new foster home by running straight into the backyard and jumping in the swimming pool? 😂💦

Well, now that Pippin has settled in with her foster family, we’re learning even more about her…and apparently this girl is quite the catch!

Her foster mom, Judith, told us:

“I haven’t found a single bad thing about her.” ❤️

And the Pippin report card is looking pretty impressive:

🐾 Completely potty trained
🏡 Loves her kennel—and apparently enjoys hoarding her toys inside it 😂
🤫 Doesn’t bark
❤️ Loves kids
👨 Comfortable with men
🧠 Listens extremely well
👏 Has excellent recall
🛋️ Low shedding
🐶 Has made herself right at home

Her one area that needs a little work?

🦮 Leash walking.

Pippin hasn’t quite figured out the whole “walking nicely on a leash” thing yet—but considering everything else this girl already has going for her, we think she deserves a little grace while she learns! ❤️

And don’t forget: this is the same girl who was abandoned in the Texas heat, ended up at a local shelter and found herself on the euthanasia list.

She went from having no idea what her future held to living in a foster home where she’s showing everyone just how wonderful she really is.

Now she needs the final piece of her story:

✨ A family of her very own. ✨

Pippin would love someone who sees what Judith is seeing—a sweet, quiet, well-mannered girl who simply needed someone to give her a chance.

Judith gave her that chance through fostering.

🐾 MEET MARBLE MAY & BIG TEX! 🐾

Can we just talk about this duo for a minute?! 😂 The size difference alone is enough to make you smile. Marble May and Big Tex have become quite the pair, and both are looking for families of their own!

💕 Marble May is about 5 months old and is the cutest little brindle beauty. She’s playful, curious, affectionate, and full of that happy puppy energy. She loves other dogs and is always ready to be part of whatever is going on.

🤠 Big Tex is about 2 years old and, well… his name fits! He’s a big, handsome boy with the sweetest face and an even sweeter personality. Despite his impressive size, Tex is a gentle soul who enjoys his dog friends and just wants to be part of the family.

And watching these two together? Big Tex could practically wear Marble May as a hat. 😂❤️ Yet they’re perfectly happy hanging out side by side.

They do NOT have to be adopted together—they each just need someone to see how special they are and give them the forever home they deserve.

A dog can only be adopted if someone knows they exist.

That may sound obvious, but it’s one of the biggest challenges rescues face.

Every photo…
Every adoption post…
Every funny reel…
Every video of a dog learning to trust again…

It all has one purpose.

To help the right person discover the right dog.

Here’s the part most people don’t realize…

Social media doesn’t automatically show our posts to all 2,700 of our Facebook followers or all 271 of our Instagram followers. If people don’t interact with a post, it quietly disappears before many ever have a chance to see it.

That means a dog could be exactly what someone is looking for… but they never even know that dog exists.

When you like a post…
When you leave a comment…
When you share it…

You’re not helping our social media.

You’re helping introduce a rescue dog to someone who may become their foster or forever family.

At Belles Buds Rescue, we don’t match dogs based on who asks first. We take the time to learn about our dogs and our adopters so we can make thoughtful, lasting matches. Every adoption matters because we want it to be the last home they’ll ever need.
