RIDDLE IS ACCEPTING ADOPTION APPLICATIONS! 🐾🩵

Riddle got to spend some extra time with people today, and this sweet boy continues to show what an incredible family dog he could be.

He loves playing with other dogs, enjoys toys, and is even learning how to play fetch. 🎾 He has a fun, playful side, but he is also incredibly affectionate and loves climbing into a lap for kisses and attention.

Riddle also did wonderfully with kids ages 8 and 11, making him an even stronger candidate for a family looking for a loving, social companion.

And then there’s this photo. 😂
Even while resting, Riddle has his little paw wrapped around the table leg like he just needs to be touching something. Very fitting for this sweet Velcro boy.

Riddle is currently being fostered by Belle’s Buds Rescue founder Tammy, and he is officially accepting adoption applications.

He would make an excellent companion for a family looking for a dog who loves to play, cuddle, follow his people around, and be part of everyday life.

This sweet 11-week-old puppy traveled all the way from the Houston, Texas area and is ready to find his forever family. With those big puppy paws, we think Louie is going to grow into a larger boy — and he has plenty of love to grow into, too. 🐶

We know many homes throughout Western New York and the Northeast don’t have fenced yards, and guess what? That’s perfectly fine for this beautiful girl!

Meet ZUBE, a gorgeous white Shepherd mix with a whole lot of love to give! 🥰

Zube came to Belle’s Buds Rescue as a puppy after being found tied to a park bench near the Houston Zoo. Two years later, she’s grown into a wonderful dog who is ready to find her forever family.

Here’s why Zube could be an AMAZING match for someone living in a home without a fenced yard!

🐾 LEASH WALKS ARE HER THING! Zube loves exploring, and because she sees fences as a challenge and has been known to jump them, a home where she’ll enjoy regular leash walks is actually a BETTER fit for her!

A fenced yard doesn’t automatically make someone a better dog owner. What matters is providing a dog with exercise, enrichment, attention, and a safe environment.

For Zube, that means a family committed to walking her on a leash rather than letting her roam freely in a backyard.

Take a look at that beautiful white marking on her chest — her foster mom noticed it looks just like a downward-pointing arrow. We’re pretty sure it’s there to tell everyone:

Revlon is about 10 months old and a petite German Shepherd mix at around 45 pounds. She has the most gorgeous markings, the sweetest personality, and she’s looking for a foster OR forever home.

Revlon is at such a fun age. She’s still young, playful and eager to learn, but she’s also showing us more and more of the wonderful dog she’s becoming.

FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE WOODS… TO WAITING FOR HER FOREVER 🩵

At our Friends & Fosters event, we learned a little more about where Quinn’s story began.

She was only 4 months old when she was found.

Not wandering through a neighborhood. Not sitting outside someone’s home.

Quinn was literally found sitting alone in the middle of the woods, surrounded by trees and brush. 💔

We don’t know how she ended up there. But thankfully, someone found her, Belle’s Buds Rescue stepped in, and a foster gave that little puppy a safe place to land.

Fast forward to today…

Quinn is now 2 years old, and you would never know that beautiful, confident girl once started life sitting alone in the woods.

She’s house trained, crate trained and doggie-door trained. She knows sit, come, shake, place and “leave it.” She loves playing fetch, going for walks, sunbathing in the grass and stretching ALL the way out on the couch beside her people. 🎾☀️

She’s wonderful with other dogs—even her tiny 7-pound foster brother Nitro—and would make an amazing addition to a family with kids, dogs, or both.

And more than anything, Quinn LOVES her people. ❤️

That little 4-month-old puppy found alone in the woods has come such a long way.

Now there’s only one chapter left to write:

Her forever. 🥹🩵

🎉🩵 BAMBI IS ADOPTED — AND SHE’S A NEW YORK GIRL NOW! 🩵🎉

From being left behind in Texas… to being loved in Rochester, New York. 🥹🐾

Our sweet Bambi has officially found her forever family!

Bambi’s story began when she and her puppy, Fawn, were among the dogs left behind after their owners packed up and moved away. They were left outside without proper food, water or shelter, and both were very thin when help finally arrived.

But that was only the beginning of Bambi’s story.

She went into foster care and absolutely blossomed. We watched this once-timid girl learn to trust, discover toys, enjoy walks, soak up belly rubs and show everyone what a smart, affectionate and devoted dog she really is.

And somewhere more than a thousand miles away, a family was watching. ❤️

They saw Bambi through our posts, fell in love with her and knew she belonged with them.

So Bambi packed her bags and made the trip from Texas all the way to Rochester, New York! 🚐🐾🗽

She now has a wonderful new mom and dad AND a human brother who is already completely attached to her. And as for her name? Her new brother loves Bambi, so Bambi she will stay. 🥰

Her family tells us they already think she is incredibly smart and beautiful, and judging by this picture, we’d say Bambi is settling into family life just fine. ❤️

THIS is why we always tell you:

Please don’t let distance stop you from falling in love with one of our Texas dogs.

Some of our very best adoption stories begin with someone hundreds—or even thousands—of miles away seeing a post and thinking:

“That’s my dog.”

For approved adopters, transport may be available out of state. If one of our dogs steals your heart, reach out. You may be much closer to your new best friend than you think. 🩵

To Bambi’s foster family, thank you for giving her the safe place she needed to blossom.

OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎀

This month, we want to remind all of our followers, fosters, adopters, volunteers and supporters to take care of YOU, too. 💗

If you’re due for a mammogram or other recommended screening, make that appointment. Early detection can make a difference, so please talk with your healthcare provider about the screening schedule that’s right for you.

And today, we’re also celebrating two very special mamas who spent so much of themselves caring for their babies: Mama Moo Donna & Mama Clementine. 🐾

Both of these girls needed a little extra care after raising their puppies, including time to get healthy and strong again.

Their babies are now safe in foster homes or already living their happily-ever-afters.

Now it’s Mama’s turn. 💕

🖤 MOO DONNA — only 11 months old, medium-sized, happy, playful, dog friendly AND cat friendly!

🤎 CLEMENTINE — approximately 1–2 years old, a gorgeous hound mix who is dog friendly, affectionate and LOVES to cuddle.

They cared for their babies.
Now we want someone to care for them. 🥹

Both girls are looking for a foster or forever home.
