WHAT IS A “Personal Pack” ? Personal Packs are packages filled with basic hygiene supplies that are provided to Michigan children as they transition into an out of home placement. Personal Packs are filled based on gender and age and include the following items:
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Soap
• Deodorant
• Chapstick/ lip balm
• Lotion
• Feminine hygiene supplies
• Toothpaste
• Toothbrush (ind
ividually packaged)
• Floss
• Razors
• Hair care products: hairspray, scalp
conditioner, moisturizing oil
• Combs/brushes
• Q-tips
OUR MISSION
To support the basic needs of Michigan children living in out of home placements... one "PACK" at a time! FACT
According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services there are approximately 13,000 Michigan children in foster care. Although there are vast differences in each child's personal circumstance many have one thing in common - they are faced with the challenge of making a transition into a home that didn't begin as their own. Even in the best situation it can be awkward asking for things we all take for granted;

supplies? HOW CAN YOU HELP? We accept donations of all items mentioned above. All product brands and all quantities are appreciated! No donation is too small and will make a difference to a child in care. Host a Personal Pack PARTY! Use this initiative as an excuse to get together with your friends and ask them to bring a Personal Pack donation to your party. Join the Personal Pack PATROL! Help us maintain our product supply by keeping us aware of any special coupons or sales related to the purchase of the products listed above. Coupon donations are accepted via us mail. Host a Personal Pack PORCH PICKUP! Make your neighbors aware of this initiative and schedule a date/time for them to place donations on their porch. Either you can pick them up or we can ask a volunteer to help with this task. At this time volunteer pick-ups are limited to local weekend pick-ups only. CONTACT US
