That’s it for 2022/2023 season. The SOA-Kenan boys played hard until the final out, falling in defeat to the Hawks 4-3.
Thanks to the coaches for choosing to spend their free time with other people’s kids, teaching them the game of baseball and how to be productive young men. Thanks to all the parents/family members who worked behind the scenes to provide the boys with the best experiences possible and to all the parents/ family members/ friends who took the time to get the kids to and from practices and games. Go A’s and see y’all next season! ⚾️

🟢🟡 WEATHER UPDATE-ALL GAMES CANCELED FOR SATURDAY🟢🟡

SOA-Kenan boys finished pool play with a 2-0-1 record after beating the Livonia Hawks 4-3 today. Kash A. shut down the Hawks, recording his first complete game of the season. The victory allowed them to obtain the #2 seed. They’ll face off against the Livonia Hawks again on Saturday @ 12:45.

Day 1 in the books, SOA walked away 1-0-1. Gm 1 they handled S. Lyon Thunder 11-5 & Gm 2 battled Waves-Carolina to a 5-5 tie. Day 2 has SOA up against Livonia Hawks at 12:45 on field 6. Go A’s!!

This is it, final tourney of the season. SOA will be in action starting tomorrow in Canton for the USSSA Global World Series. The A’s will try to use last weeks momentum to spring them to the championship against the top AAA teams in the state.

Our A’s played their hearts out this past weekend. Their stellar play led them to the championship game, unfortunately they couldn’t hold an early lead and fell to the BatBusters.
SOA now looks ahead to their final tourney of the season, USSSA Global World Series, this week in Canton.

This years Grand Park tournament didn’t end up with a championship like the boys had hoped for. It did show their willingness to battle to the last pitch, finishing the weekend with a top 8 finish.
SOA will take the holiday weekend to rest their arms and prepare for the final 2 weeks of the season.

On the road again…🎵
The boys are heading to Indiana to compete in the Amateur Baseball Championships @ Grand Park. SOA will compete with 25 other 11U teams, all with hopes of being the last team standing.

The weekend started off great, knocking off #6 ranked Foutch Baseball 10-5. Game 2 provided plenty of excitement but SOA fell to the Detroit Metro Stars 4-3, with SOA nearly tying the game on the last play at the plate. Game 3 slipped away early and the boys couldn’t recover, falling to PKP Waves-Gray.
Even after the up and down weekend, morale remains high and the boys are eager to get back on the field.
