From our president, Danita Wood.
To those who missed this past Tuesday, we missed you! We had an inspiring talk from District Gov. John Horton. It's always amazing to see how much Rotary is doing around the world and in our district.
Here are some dates to make note of:
Oct 4, next meeting: 6 pm as usual at Merwiwether's. After dinner, the program moves to a campfire outside and behind Meriwether's for local ghost stories for the program with a few different tale tellers.
Oct. 15, Social at the Butler's home, 4-7 pm. Organized by Colleen who's asked us to bring potluck side dishes to accompany honey-baked ham and dessert that she will arrange. Children and prospective members welcome! Bring lawn chair as well to KC Farm at 1000 W. Botner Rd, Columbia. Please note: THIS IS DIFFERENT DATE THAN THE FLYER handed out at the meeting.
Oct. 31, Rotary-sponsored Halloween party. Kathy Carson is organizing. 5-7 pm at the Firehouse. Food, games, costumes. Reach out to Kathy to volunteer:

Dec 6: Holiday party at General Store, details to come.
We'll also be adding a Highway Cleanup Service project, date to be announced, perhaps by next meeting.
We could still use volunteers for sidewalking at Sunny Oak Farms especially on Thursday, 4:30 to 6:30. That's the day Woodhaven kids come and Rosie figures it out but if you were thinking about trying it out, come along! It's very rewarding.
