As the school year comes to a close and summer begins, many of our agricultural education students dedicate countless hours to their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects. These hands-on learning opportunities help students develop valuable skills in agriculture, responsibility, and entrepreneurship. However, these experiences would not be possible without the support of our outstanding community partners. Throughout the summer, we would like to spotlight the businesses that invest in our students and help make their SAE projects successful. We encourage everyone to support the businesses that support our students, our agricultural programs, and our community. Together, we are helping develop the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Today's spotlight features a young entrepreneur who is making an impact in our local agricultural community. Ty Oliver, owner of Oliver Produce in Pitts, has turned his passion for agriculture into a growing business. Ty produces a variety of crops, including non-GMO field corn, cantaloupes, and watermelons, and markets his products to local businesses, at area farmers markets, and even to surrounding states. His hard work, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit are a great example of what can be accomplished through agricultural education and hands-on experience. If you're interested in purchasing fresh, locally grown produce, please contact Oliver Produce at 229-313-5007. We are proud to spotlight Ty and his commitment to agriculture and our community!

The A Squared Showmanship Clinic was a huge success this week! Our sheep exhibitors learned valuable skills for preparing at home, developing effective practice routines, and being show day ready. They left the clinic with greater confidence, knowledge, and excitement as they head into the show season. We can’t wait to see their hard work pay off in the ring!
