We made it to the World Series but came up a little short. I want to thank all of the team members who played for Team RP this year in adult softball. I also have to thank Dominic M. Pizzuto and Andrew Mattson for organizing this league. Also, thanks to Mayor Tommy Miller for the great announcing. Congrats to all the teams that participated

Thank you again for members of the community who showed up to help cleanup. Next time you want to go on to the Residents Page or Community Board to constantly complain about things… you could always take action yourself. Have a great weekend!

This is the Team RP approach. Incremental changes make a big difference.

If you found yourself in a relationship with someone with low self-esteem and you weren't willing to leave, how would you go about helping them feel better about themselves?

Love them unconditionally. Not accept them as they are, but fight to help them change for the better.

Building self-confidence cannot be bestowed upon a person. It must be built from within. This requires constant encouragement. A helping hand. Leading by example.

Your community behaves in exactly the same way.

So start small. Do the incremental things. Address the smallest things that are wrong. The chipping paint. The weeds in front of city hall. The lack of connection with your neighbor.

Self-esteem only responds to self-improvement.

The annual cost of owning a car in NJ? Over $13,700 with loan, gas

Our society is so car dependent (meaning we can’t get anywhere or do anything without a car) that we are forced to pay this “tax” of owning at least one automobile. We need safer alternatives to walk and bike or take public transit when possible. The week without driving is next week. If we all try to cut one car trip out of our routine it can make a difference.

The annual carrying costs of a car in New Jersey include insurance rates of $3,188 on average, car payments of $7,500, and gas costs of $1,681.
