🐾🎨 LAKOTA'S PET PORTRAIT FUNDRAISER 🎨🐾
🏥 Recently, we discovered that one of our rescue dogs, Lakota, was in medical distress and needed urgent help. Lakota had been given away by her adopter, contrary to our adoption agreement requiring all dogs to be returned to the rescue if they can no longer be kept. Thankfully, the individual who received Lakota recognized that he was very ill and when CMC2 reached out, immediately sought veterinary care.
❣️ We are incredibly grateful to Lakota's new caregiver for taking her to the vet, and to Dr. Eagan for stepping up to foster Lakota while he recovers. Once he is healthy again, he will be available for adoption through our rescue.
💰 Lakota's veterinary expenses exceeded $1,500. As a rescue that operates solely through donations, we are reaching out for help to cover her medical costs.
💜 To help raise funds, the incredibly talented Lori Anne Weatherby of Precious Artworks & Prints has generously donated her artistic services and will create a custom pet portrait of the winner's beloved pet!
