To entertain, educate, and enrich
the community through the cultural arts.

Our Purpose:
The activities of this foundation will be to raise funds to renovate the Village Theater located at 161 East Salisbury Street, Robbins, NC. All funds or net earnings of the corporation shall be used to purchase the building, renovations, perpetual care, maintenance, and operation for the Robbins Village Theater as stated in Section 2 Article VI of the By Laws and no part of the corpor

ation’s net earning shall inure to the benefit of any of the corporation’s officers, directors or members, or any other private individual. This facility will provide a much needed space for gatherings and artistic pursuits for all people of the community. The Village Theater was a major attraction in the community in years past. The theater closed and has recently been used as a gun and collectibles store. The return of this building to house a cultural arts center and meeting place will provide enrichment for all phases of the general public by providing a venue for plays, movies, art exhibits, dance recitals, concerts, musical performances and featured speakers. The project has public support and has received favorable press coverage in “The Pilot” newspaper, Southern Pines, NC. The Officers and Board of Directors are donating their time to this corporation with no compensation to raise funds to see this project to fruition. The Project has been broken down into four phases:
Phase 1
$85,000
Initial purchase price of building and property - Completed! Phase 2
$397,000
Renovations to include painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, structural, projection system and donated seats to serve 100 patrons
Phase 3
$200,000
Theater lighting, sound system, seating for additional 100 patrons
Phase 4
$150,000
Enhanced lobby, meeting / reception room, balcony seating for 75 patrons and marquee

PLEASE STOP BY AND SUPPORT YOUR THEATER COMMUNITY CENTER Saturday June 29tTHEATERh

We are meeting with our media guy this Saturday at the Theater Community center. 9:00 to 12:00 in Robbins.
I will have the plans available to.look at.
I REALLY NEED some people from the community to come by for some sound bites to go on social media, especially any young people.

That next generation are the ones who will benifit the most from the center. We need you all to share the Facebook and soon to be launched Instagram.
The more support we get from the community the better our chances of getting grants to finish the project.

CORRECTION!!

We will not meet this Wednesday (June 19).
Our next meeting will be June 29th (Saturday)
At the theater itself.
We will meet at 9:00 am and will be filming sound bites for social media . I would like as many people as possible to come, especially our board members.

The Theater meeting has been rescheduled for May 16th Thursday evening at 4:30.
It will be at the Wesleyan Church in Robbins. I hope to have as many board members present as possible.
Rob Gee will be presenting ideas for marketing and we will get a report from the engeineers.
