Our Mission is to Improve the Lives of Disadvantaged Children in our Community. Established by Holly Keller in 2009, COVE ADOPTIVE FAMILIES began as a support group for children and families in the community who were touched by adoption. We sought to support, educate, and advocate for children who had been and who were still waiting to be joined with their forever family. As the years have passed

the focus of the group has changed. Cove Adoptive Families is now an advocacy group on a Mission to improve the lives of underprivileged children in our community. We are dedicated to transforming the lives of financially disadvantaged children in our community. As an inclusive organization serving youth throughout Blair County, we are committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of their financial circumstances, have access to the same opportunities and quality of life as their more affluent peers. We believe that every child deserves a level playing field, and we strive to create a future where no child is left behind due to economic hardship. Our Mission is “To improve the lives of disadvantaged children in our community.”

Private organizations who wish to seek our financial assistance may contact us directly. We have also established a post-secondary scholarship with the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation of Blair County. The Cove Adoptive Families Scholarship Fund through the CPCF is to assist one adopted child per calendar year with the cost of their post-secondary education to be awarded beginning the school year of 2023. Each calendar school year, at least one graduating student enrolled in a Blair or Bedford County School will be awarded a scholarship not to exceed $1,000, to be used for costs associated with their post-secondary education. Applications can be found through your school guidance counselor.
