We have a large archive of over 500,000 items in Roanoke, VA, with over 200,000 items cataloged and available on on website. Today we get to share some incredible work at a very, very tiny scale by Joseph Lavender : -NWHS

I’ve been contemplating a N&W layout in Z scale for some time, and I wanted to build a mockup of a bridge scene. This model was built in 1/700 scale and measures about 13 inches long and about 2 inches deep. This model was 100% scratch built

Did you get to attend the Saturday, 02/07 Virginia Museum of Transportation presentation on the 1956 wreck of the J 611? No? Then you missed a great presentation from our own Ken Miller, official archivist of the N&WHS. This was followed by a lengthy and detailed question and answer session, also presented by Mr. Miller! Thanks to VMT for hosting this important piece of 611 history!
