This year’s Kendig Awards Committee is requesting nominations from the public for individuals or businesses who have made outstanding contributions to arts and culture in the region. This annual award not only recognizes outstanding examples of support, involvement, and accomplishments in the arts, but also informs the community about the many contributions to the arts in our area.

Congratulations to the 2022 Kendig Award nominees and winners! Seth Davis, Mill Mountain Theatre’s resident music director, The Roanoke Valley Children's Choir (RVCC) and Doug Jackson, arts and culture coordinator for the city of Roanoke and capacity development specialist for the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, took home the three awards from an incredible slate of nominees.

The awards, which are presented annually, honor supporters of the arts in Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
