A Message from the Founder of Grateful Heads

​To our volunteers, donors, and friends,
​When I founded Grateful Heads, my goal was simple: to bring light and color to those navigating their darkest times. Watching this community grow over the last 15 years from a simple idea into a genuine force for good has been the greatest honor of my professional life.
​As life evolves, so must our roles within it. At this time, I find it necessary to focus my energy on my family. Therefore, I am announcing that I will be stepping down as CEO of Grateful Heads at the conclusion of this year’s camp.
​I do so with a heart full of gratitude. While my daily role is changing, my belief in our mission remains steadfast. I am excited to see how this organization continues to brighten the world in its next chapter.

​The Path Forward
​Leadership Search: With the guidance of our Board, we are beginning the search for new leadership. If you or someone you know is interested in a leadership role, please reach out to me, David, Kara, or Heidi.
​Continued Support: Though I am stepping away from the day-to-day operations, I will remain as Chairman. I look forward to offering guidance and supporting the cause that will forever be a part of me.
​This is my legacy, and I am incredibly proud of what we have built together. Thank you for believing in this mission and for walking this path with me.

UPDATE!
We'll be at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing again this year, of course.
Price per camper is the same as last year $225 per person covers supplies, lodging and meals.
I've created an event with payment details and a place to ask questions and get updates. Consider yourself invited and tap *going* if you'll be there so we can get an accurate headcount.

2026 camp dates are set. June 24-28. Wednesday to Sunday. Same place, same lodge. After 12 years, it is just like home. Pricing info coming soon (pending results of the auction). We will make it a affordable as we can. Stay tuned!

Quick camp update.

These are the current room assignments, please let us know if there are any issues.

There was a question about meals. Meals will be provided at the lodge from Wednesday dinner through Saturday dinner, so no need to bring or prepare food unless you want. Dinner is usually pretty early, between 5 and 6, so if you are going to arrive late you may want to eat on the way.

It would also be great to get a final list of who will be attending, so that they can plan for enough food. If you will be there for Wednesday dinner, please reply to this post or send us a message letting us know. If you wont be there for dinner Wednesday, but will still be coming later in the week, please respond as well.

It looks like it is going to be a beautiful week, so we are really excited and looking forward to seeing everyone there!!!

The 2025 Grateful Heads Tie-dye Camp will be from June 11th - 15th, at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing in New Castle, Va.

The cost this year is $225.00 per person, which covers 4 nights lodging and all meals Thursday through Saturday. Most people tend to eat on their own Wednesday due to traveling, but there is a full kitchen in the cabin. Due to continued increases in cost, we are asking that in addition to the camp fee each person bring $25 worth of supplies. This could include bandanas, dye, etc.

We will be supplying 500 bandanas, so those that are able to contribute, please bring extras.

Respond here if you plan on attending so we can get a rough headcount. Camp payments should be sent via PayPal to [email protected].

If you have trouble finding the funds, reach out. We can help... contributing folks will not be turned away....

We only have room for 30 people in the lodge, so sign up as soon as you can!
