Dear Friends –

I am sitting in my parents’ home in Roanoke, VA. I’m about to go to my room in their house and pack my bags for the return trip to Kenya. And, I’m meditating on the incredible goodness of the Lord to me, and to IAMercy, over the last 12 years.

IAMercy was incorporated exactly 12 years ago today: August 22, 2014. Over these 12 years God has indeed done more than we asked or imagined. Hallelujah!

We now have:
• About 900 to 1,000 children who come out each Saturday to hear the Word of God and get a hot meal. Many of these children are memorizing the Sermon on the Mount, one or two verses per week.
• About 3,600 children in our Rehema Reach (Mercy Outreach) program. Our team is in 13 schools, taking the Gospel and Bible lessons to children in the Kawangware slum.
• About 65 children in our Rehema Elimu (Mercy Education) program. Many of these are children who would be begging, digging through trash for food, and wandering the streets. Now they are in school and getting an education.

And – right now – the Holy Spirit is moving in a powerful way on our Young Adults. We have a new ministry, designed for young adults, called Revival. Revival meets on Tuesday nights in the Kawangware slum of Nairobi. We are seeing healings from sickness and bodily injury, deliverances from demonic oppression, and fresh impartations of the Holy Spirit on a regular basis. God is doing truly amazing things! Two weeks ago today I said I was trying to raise an additional $100,000 of extra giving before the end of my furlough. God has now brought in $83,625 of special donations since I sent that email. We are now in the black for the year – praise God! Thank you to all who have joined in this special push. I am praying that God will bring in the remaining $16,375 before I load my New York to Nairobi flight on Tuesday afternoon. I actually pray that God will double it – and that by then we will have raised an additional $100,000 beyond the initial $100,000 push. God is able! And I thank Him, and you, for your incredible generosity.

Our kids also visited THE NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK where they had a walk in the safari and also got to learn about different animal species.
It was an awesome sight for them because they had the chance to see some of the animals they read about in school.

Today, our Rehema Elimu(mercy education)kids went for an educational trip to one of the airports in Nairobi called the WILSON AIRPORT ✈️
The pupils under the guidance of the airport’s customer service team learnt several facts and names in airports.
These include the words; Runway, control tower, cockpit, terminals, air hostess among others.
Moreover, the kids also had some good time watching planes land and take off.
At some point, we even saw some passengers and pilots waving at us from a distance.

Thank you for making our kids get a chance to be in school.

“Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.” (Matthew 28:20, NLT)

Today (Saturday) was the final day of IAMercy’s August 2026 Vacation Bible School (VBS). Over 1,000 children received a hot meal and were taught the Bible.

This week at VBS our Kenyan teachers taught the children on the topics of:
• The Ten Commandments (Wednesday’s Lesson)
• The Lord’s Prayer (Thursday’s Lesson)
• The Lord’s Supper (Friday’s Lesson)
• Baptism (Saturday’s Lesson)

Each day we gave children a hot meal. Each day we taught them the basics about what it means to be a follower of Jesus. IAMercy cared for over 1,000 children this week.

If you believe in this ministry, we need your help. As of the end of July, IAMercy was $45,000 in the red for 2026.

While the IAMercy staff team serves in Kenya, I am on furlough in the U.S. trying to raise money to turn this financial situation around. While I’m in the U.S. I’m trying to raise an additional $100,000, above and beyond routine giving. This helps us not only recover, but get ahead, so that we are in a position of financial strength as we care for these children.

On this furlough I would love to see:
• 100 donors who would give $1,000; or
• 10 donors who would give $10,000; or
• 4 donors who would give $25,000

Imagine if everyone gave as much as God would have them – how many children IAMercy could help. Would you pray about what God would have you do?

Our August VBS is officially here.
Happening from 5th to 8th August 2026, these are about four consecutive days of ministering to our Daily Bread Program kids.

V.B.S will be taking place in both the Nazarene and Light Christian centers which are our two current campuses.

Keep us in your Prayers as we look forward to a great harvest for the kingdom of God.
