December 21 will always be a marker for us.
Not of arrival, (although it is the same day Chainges FoundHer Desirae "landed" in Atlanta) but of commitment!
As CHAiNGES and Desiraé continue to evolve as two distinct but deeply connected entities, many things have chainged — most notably how this work is funded and sustained, but what hasn’t — our intention.
2025 was a test for Desirae' to create space for her to trust her skills, her calling, and her capacity to build differently, and in doing so, she was able to:
• Expand three of The Hope Center Of 11Th Street's cornerstone programs — Dinner Under the Stars, the Thanksgiving Community Dinner, and Christmas for Kids
• Coordinate and restore The Hope Center of 11th Street's Afterschool Enrichment Program
• Guide Kinship Connect ATL through a strong and thoughtful start to their 501(c)(3) journey
• But most importantly for herself & sustaining CHAiNGES, continue laying the foundation for her consulting and restorative work and plant seeds for her insurance and speaking endeavors, securing early wins in both!
None of this has been loud.
All of it has been meaningful.
CHAiNGES was never about speed — it’s always been about stewardship, service, and showing up even when the path isn’t fully lit.
And while we may not have had our Annual Celebration of CHAiNGES Fundraising Mixer this year, we are using the rest of 2025 to honor growth that isn’t always visible, labor that isn’t always paid yet, and faith that keeps moving anyway!
