Thank you to Jess Truax from Roanoke City Public Schools Work-Based Learning Program for inviting us along some of our board members and community partners from Starbucks, Freedom First Credit Union and InFirst Federal Credit Union, to be part of mock interviews with seniors at DAYTEC last week!

We sat down one-on-one with students, asked real interview questions, reviewed resumes, and offered honest, thoughtful feedback to help them improve. Opportunities like this give students the chance to practice, connect, and build confidence before it really counts.💛

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Business Hall of Fame Laureate, Sandra “Sandy” Davis.

Sandy was a visionary leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist whose impact on Southwest Virginia will be felt for generations. Her commitment to education, community, and opportunity helped shape a stronger future for so many.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.
