September 11 — We Remember. We Stand Together.
Twenty-five years later, the labor movement continues to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
We honor the workers, first responders, firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel, and countless others who ran toward danger when others were running away. We remember the families who lost loved ones and the workers who sacrificed their health and safety in the days, weeks, and years that followed.
September 11 reminded our nation of something working people have always known: when we stand together, we are stronger.
As union members, we carry that spirit of solidarity forward. We look out for our brothers and sisters on the job. We fight for safe workplaces, dignity, fair wages, strong benefits, and the right of every worker to return home safely to their families.
Today, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We remember the families who lost loved ones. And we recognize the working men and women who continue to serve, protect, build, and keep this country moving forward.
Their sacrifice reminds us that working people are the backbone of this nation—and when we stand together, united in solidarity, there is nothing we cannot accomplish.
Never forget. Never back down. Solidarity forever. ✊🇺🇸
