Members belong to a chapter in the area in which they live and each chapter elects their own officers. Our Woodmen of the World lodge is one of nearly 1,300 locally chartered units nationwide. Members belong to a Lodge in the area in which they live and each Lodge elects their own officers. Through our community-focused, family-oriented lodge, members aspire to achieve fraternal ideals through our

social, civic, charitable, educational, patriotic, and voluntary service activities. We partner with local schools, fire departments, and other charitable organizations to help make our community better for everyone. Lodges across the country plan a diverse range of activities. A local lodge might host a family fish fry and game night, help build a local Habitat for Humanity home, or hold a bake sale to benefit its volunteer fire department. Our lodge activities create family time and are about having fun, making new friends and helping others.

Day and night, our First Responders selflessly safeguard our homes, our families and our communities. We’ve been a long-time supporter of First Responders, like holding special events in their honor and making donations to benefit them. WoodmenLife Chapter 66, Roanoke knew we could do more. So, we donated $500 to the Botetourt County Sheriff's Office to serve those who serve us. The donation will help to provide equipment for school resource officers across the County.

As the pandemic goes on, it keeps creating needs in our communities. In many ways, it makes things worse, like the situation homeless people face when it gets colder outside. WoodmenLife Chapter 66 Roanoke recognized the need and recently donated $500 to The Least of These Ministry. Together, we can make a difference for others.

COVID-19 has affected our lives in many ways, from school districts contemplating how to best educate our kids, to making existing problems, like our neighbors going hungry, worse. In this historic time, we can lend a hand to organizations helping where it’s needed. That’s why Roanoke Chapter 66 donated $500 to the LOA Meals on Wheels program to help with COVID-19 relief.
