Final preparations are in progress for Santa’s arrival at the fire department!!! We are planning to leave with Santa for the second day of the Santa Run 2025 at 1:00pm.

The North Pole! Loading him up now and will be leaving shortly! Looks like Santa had a special guest this year too!!! The Grinch! He better behave !!!!

Veterans, you served us. Let us serve you! Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department would like to serve you a free breakfast to show our appreciation. Not a Veteran, no problem. Breakfast is 5 dollars a plate. Come on out and let us take care of breakfast. Meet the Veterans in the department that continue to serve.

The following is a briefing from NWS Blacksburg as of March 3, 2025 4:00 AM.

Threats: High wind possible, gusts 30 to 50 mph

Location: Entire area

Timing:
Wind speed increasing on Tuesday and continuing through Thursday night. Wind speeds diminish on Friday
Locally higher gusts with showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning

Overview and Impacts:
Downed trees and power lines
Hazardous travel for high-profile vehicles and due to debris on roads
Scattered power outages
Hazardous travel in the mountains on Thursday due to snow
