The Empowerment Project for Life is an innovative, comprehensive, non-profit Community Based Organization (CBO). Established in February, 2010, EPFL strives to meet the unmet needs of persons infected and affected by chronic diseases. In addition we help train youth with disabilities to learn job skills and we teach our community about COVID19, HIV\Treatment and Prevention challenges, lupus edu
cation and treatment. We offer line dancing for youth, paint parties treatment and support groups for people with kidney disease and other chronic challenges. We use a peer based model to help youth and adults with disabilities and chronic illnesses become empowered through support education and training We strive to use a peer based model and client centered care. We deliver food, resources and bus tickets as needed to local clients in the Roanoke and surrounding cities when needed. multiple sclorosis , lupus diabetes, heart disease and in addition we have peer educators who have support groups for breast health, partner violence and use educational peer model structurrs to help people. We service youth and adults with disabilities through supporti groups and treatment advocacy. We do this virtually through appointments and through our fb page We use safe social distance models and use cdc guidelines for programs now untill there is a cure for inhumane diseases we will be here
