Great pictures from the Heart Walk 2018 - Last year we had raised $2000. That meant we raised the second most money for a team within Carilion. We had a goal to be #1 this year. Our goal was to raise $3000. We raised almost double that amount - $5739 - Not only did we come in 1st for raising the most money in Carilion Clinic, but we came in 2nd for all the Roanoke and NRV area. Can you believe this? We worked all year to raise this money with no more than $100 raised from a single person. We received no money form a corporation. All money was from multiple creative ideas, wonderful and giving patients and staff and just plan hard work and dedication. I was not able to be present for the Heart Walk but my co-workers wanted to make sure I was present. With my picture I was able to be there and enjoyed many things. I sang with the band, dressed up with a red hat, was carried on the back of a furry baby, and carried by many others, I allowed to rest on a bench, and they made sure I had water to drink. You can see where I started and they were good as they marked my progress along the way and, of course and picture of me with the finish line. You guys are hilarious and I heard you had a great time. Thanks sooo much.

We are getting ready for the Heart Walk

We completed the Spaghetti/yard/bake sale and it was a huge success. We made $964.
Everyone worked so hard and we even had fun. Thanks to all the hubbies that came to help. They worked very hard. I know my husband did well getting us more money. He was a hard bargainer. It was funny watching him.
Robbin worked so hard over the stove for hours and the spaghetti tasted great!!
Tara made us lots of money on the beautiful quilt and blankets raffle. Her husband Gary was making sure everything was going well.
We couldn’t have done it without Kristen, besides her hard work, she kept me calm. Her husband Devin, was wonderful helping sell all the items outside.
Lori, Wendy, and Sybil helped keep the kitchen going smoothly. No problems except worried we were running out of sauce, which is a good thing.
We ended up with a contest to see who made the most and Kristen and Devin won over me and my husband by 50 cents!! Too funny
