ALL people deserve to feel welcome in our communities and out schools. RCSU is committed to working to make that happen.

In response to the hateful white supremacist banners displayed across Roanoke City and County last Friday, SERV took a stand by drafting a Statement of Community. This message of unity and resilience was embraced by numerous organizations throughout the valley, demonstrating that this—compassion, inclusivity, and solidarity—is what our community truly stands for, not hateful rhetoric.

We firmly believe in the power of collective words to inspire change, but we also recognize the importance of action. In the coming months, SERV will join forces with our partner organizations to implement meaningful steps that strengthen our community and ensure we are prepared to confront and counter future incidents like this. Stay connected with us as we work together to create a lasting impact.
