All of the 2024-2025 Film Lab short films are now available on our YouTube channel! Many times, we're asked why the current year of films isn't available - that's because of the film festival schedule. Each year we submit student films to festivals to National and International festivals. The films are embargoed until the festivals award the films!

The 2024-2025 films were accepted at 19 festivals and received 36 awards! We think that's worth the wait - you can check out the winning submissions from last year here

On the eve of the Film Lab Showcase we are so excited to share a pretty cool happening with two of our Film Lab students! Michael and Jupiter were awarded scholarships from the Davis and Barbara Francis Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation Serving Western Virginia Awards Dinner!

This scholarship honors those who have made a significant contribution to the arts and media production field in high school, and who plan to continue their education in this field.

Definitely a strong indicator of the impact of Film Lab as hundreds of students apply for these scholarships! We couldn't be prouder of our graduates!

We had a wonderful GIVE Roanoke Day and raised $3,000 for the Film Lab! We are so grateful for community members who have supported our students on their creative journeys.
