Meet some of the people who serve, and are served by, the next star of BUZZ 🐝 … Renovation Alliance!

Working with Roanoke Valley Television, we have spent the last two days visiting Roanoke-area homeowners who needed critical home repairs — broken HVAC, wheelchair ramp for a disabled daughter, leaky pipes, a new porch with handrails — but lacked the resources to pay for them. 

We look forward to sharing the nonprofit’s inspiring mission in October on Blue Ridge PBS!

The reason Raleigh Court United Methodist Church earned the Volunteer Group of the Year award is clear: they put kindness into action! Nancy Carter accepted on behalf of the group, who were busy putting the finishing touches on a beautiful new porch for a neighbor in need. This wonderful project brought joy and safety to the homeowner and their family, and even taught the kids some valuable life skills. Raleigh Court United Methodist Church
