CanAm Classic Multibreed III Champions - Heidi, Remy, Pepsi, Kiwi, Vegemite & Andrea as boxloader extraordinary!!! We've been working hard for this win and are thrilled to have finally achieved a Championship trophy. 🏆 Racing our friends, Manic Menagerie, made it so much fun. Either way, we would have been happy.

Barq's, Kraken, Laika, Torque, and Raisin all showed absolutely amazing progress on their way to shedding those green dog stripes. The next generation is going to shine so bright!!!!

Thank you to Meaghan Arpe, Shawn Hart Fontaine, and Holley Rose for running on our Open team. We had a wonderful time with old and new friends.

A great big thank you to Alena for all your videos and sideline support. You make us look good!

The Heads or Tails Double ONYX Lineup: Heidi, Remy, Gemma, Kiwi

All of these club dogs have earned both their ONYX (20,000 points) titles - Regular and Multi. They achieved these titles almost completely running as a team.

They have also competed twice in the Multi finals at CanAm.

They may be aging - all but Kiwi - count as Veterans, but they still love the game.

Congratulations to all!

CanAm 2023 Heads or Tails recap:

Friday - Pandora/Kindle, Tannis, Jill, Watson/Kraken
Our future looks very fast, indeed! Today, the green dogs got to play a bit of Flyball on the big stage. While Pandora and Watson shined, Kraken showed us he needs a bit more fine-tuning. Tannis and Emily Neal from Ruffin' It joined us fill out this lineup - thank you!

Carmen ball shagged for the Fur Fun Junior Handler division team and was by far the cutest sh***er out there all weekend. She loves her Flyball friends and family. Thank you, Fur Fun, for allowing her to participate. Next year, she's going to run a dog! Carmen's team placed 2nd.

Saturday -
We started off the day with a trip to the ER Vet, then Purdue. While Alena Tune and Trixie were out of commission, Andrea Gioia Tune got the privilege of running all the Tune dogs - first CanAm, too!

The "fast" Multi (Stark, Adelaide, Neville, Stella) managed to get their fastest time all weekend in the first race. While not our plan, it was amazing- almost as good as their PB! This lineup is definitely something we are going to practice more. They have so much potential.

The "dual ONYX" Multi (Heidi, Remy, Gemma, Kiwi) managed to do what they've always done - consistency. Winning 3 of their 4 races, they placed 2nd in their division. While they might be a bit older and slower, they still posted a 20 second run.

The Regular lineup (Pepsi, Google, Veggie, Jill) was seeded wrong - totally my fault - and got blown out of the water, but ran well regardless. They were as steady as they come, a rockstar group of stellar height dogs.

Warmup dogs, Tookey, Kindle, and Kaya, had a wonderful time running in the lanes. They all looked great!

Sunday -
More surprises! Losing another solid dog to a toe injury first thing in the morning, we had to juggle lineups a bit.

The "fast" Multi was completely out classed, but don't tell them that! These dogs and handlers gave it more than their best to try and squeak out as many wins as possible - surprisingly winning a few heats here and there and one race completely. They didn't make it to the finals, but gave it 110% nevertheless. Very proud!

The "dual ONYX" Multi (with the help of Pandora) made it to the Multi 3 finals, winning all of their races today. We didn't win finals - those side walls were a curse. Poor Remy! He just couldn't ignore a ball bouncing directly at him. We tried our best, laughed and had fun, and walked away a happy team. Couldn't ask for more. This is the second time this lineup made it to the CanAm finals - Reserve Champions both times. What a great lineup and so many achievements!

Tookey ran one heat today, against a Ghost team, and she Poodled her way through it, as stylish as ever!

The Regular lineup (with the help of Kindle and Stark) almost made it to finals - sadly, we lost one heat we couldn't afford to lose. We'll get there next year! I still can't believe Stark was still posting those times while double-running on Sunday!

Kindle also earned her Iron Dog at CanAm - she looks good in the lanes and we hope to see her a few more times as a perfect backup dog. The best there is!

I truly love our team. We have so much fun in the lanes. We love all our dogs - the fast ones, the crazy ones, the tiny ones, the huge ones, the fluffy ones, and the quirky ones - no matter what! We are family. We take care of each other and step up to help when and where needed. We don't fret the small details. We realize dogs are dogs and things happen.

If I forgot anything or anyone, please let me know and I update the post accordingly.

Congratulations Team! I'm so very proud of you all!

We ended Fur Fun's 2023 Coconut Classic with a Multi 1 3rd place, a Multi 2 3rd place, and a Regular 4 1st place! I'll admit, I wasn't planning on the Regular team to do so well! I'm just thrilled!

Some highlights:

- Crikey had fun in the lanes!
- Kiwi worked through some confidence issues and helped pull her Multi team into a 3rd place finish!
- Pepsi did what she had to do and played through some tooth pain. Very proud of her grit!
- Jilleroo put on her big girl pants and rocked 3rd position with Scout passing into her.
- Scout was amazing! She put her big girl pants on too and held it together all weekend beautifully!
- Trixie can now be called solid. No more a green dog!
- Kindle is the MVP of the weekend. 3 heats for the win!
- Andrea is now running 2 dogs, 2 different positions, and a boxloader extraordinare. You are awesome!
- Remy helped Pandora learn to pass and I'm pretty sure Pandora's highlight of her weekend was a tennis ball dropped right in front of her. Her snag was epic!
- Stella didn't spit a single ball!
- Kraken rocked his warmups! He's looking great!!!!
- Gemma showed us all she's still got heart & soul in this game. Age has nothing on her!
- Watson made some great choices and found his focus!
- Heidi & Eric had awesome starts throughout the weekend!
- Kaya is convinced Flyball is the bomb! She's ready for the new box!
- Finally, we handled back to back races all weekend like the champs we are! Great teamwork everyone!

Once again, I'm so impressed with everyone! Well done, team HOT!

Thank you for hosting Fur Fun!

Heads or Tails Turn Tail 'n Run
17.766
We finally broke 18 seconds!

With a mix of older dogs and younger dogs, they zeroed in their passes over the course of the weekend and managed to pull in their personal best and our new club record in the last race on Sunday.

Not to mention... So many big and small titles earned! 🏆

Thank you for hosting NRR! We had a great time racing in the lanes!
