As school begins in our area, we want to thank everyone who donated to Roanoke Refugee Partnership’s annual Back to School Supply Drive! Thanks to your support, we were able to provide gift cards for school supplies to all 26 of the school aged children in the families we work alongside. Family Mentors were able to go shopping with families, attend meet the teacher orientations, and some even made first day of school memories at the bus stop this morning!

We are grateful for all of the ways our community continues to show up for our neighbors. 🍎✏️

This year we are assisting 26 children as they prepare to return to school for the 2026-2027 school year. For some, this is their first experience with Back to School Shopping. We are hoping to provide each child with two $25 gift cards to Walmart or a VISA gift card so that the family can go with our wonderful volunteers and mentors that shop. Your donation with help purchase the items needed for their children. All gift cards will need to be received by July 26, 2026. We continue to be thankful for you, our neighbors and supporters.

UPDATE: We have been able to secure a bed for the family. Thank you to those who reached out to help!

Roanoke Refugee Partnership is looking for one queen-size bed for a refugee family of six.

We have already received a queen mattress donation and are seeking help obtaining a compatible bed frame. Because we don’t have storage space, we are only able to accept one bed that meets the family’s needs.

If you have a queen bed frame to donate, please send us a message with a photo. We are looking for:
- A queen bed frame with slats or
- A queen bed frame that includes a matching box spring

✨Gratitude Sale✨

This year marks five years since I took over ownership of our studio, and it’s important to me that we celebrate in a way that extends beyond our studio walls. Yoga has always been a practice of connection, compassion, and community, and while we each come to it from different backgrounds, its roots remind us that this practice belongs to a much larger human story than our own.

As part of our five-year anniversary sale, 5% of all sales will be donated to the Roanoke Refugee Partnership, an organization that helps welcome and support individuals and families as they begin new lives in our community.

My hope is that this celebration honors both the practice that has given so much to us and the diverse community we have the privilege of serving.
