There will be a Music Boosters meeting on Tuesday, April 18th at 7 pm in the High School band room. We will be going over travel information and answering questions about the upcoming trip to Disney. (A summary of the information covered will be sent out after the meeting for those who are unable to attend.) Hope to see you there!

Congratulations to RBHS sophomore Lottie Heckman who participated in the All-State Choir at the IMEA All-State Conference in Peoria last weekend. She was selected based on her audition in October 2016, where she scored as one of the top altos, and punched her ticket to Peoria.
The All-State Choir, made up of 220 sophomores, juniors and seniors from across the state, was directed by Dr. Paul Crabb, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Missouri. Participants attended numerous rehearsals at the Peoria Civic Center and Peoria's First Methodist Church to polish 5 different pieces. Throughout the 3-day conference, choir members rehearsed a total of 23 hours, culminating with a performance at the Civic Center arena on Saturday, January 29th. Thank you, Lottie, for representing RB60's music department, and to Mr. Behrens for his support and dedication to our students!

RB Music Boosters is partnering with Delish! Freezer Meals to raise money for the Band and Chorus trip to Disney this June. Don't know a Band or Chorus member to contact? On Saturday, November 19th, three students from RBHS, along with Mr. Whitman and Mr. Behrens, traveled to Olivet Nazarene University for the Illinois Music Education Association District 3 Festival. Clara U. (violin) was selected for the District orchestra; Lottie H. (alto) and Carol M. (soprano) were selected for the District chorus. Congratulations, ladies!

Congratulations to Liz S. (trumpet) and Lucy U. (trombone) who were chosen to participate in Bradley University's Freshman-Sophomore High School Honor Band. This select group will perform a concert this evening at 7:30 at Dingeldine Music Center. Way to represent RBHS, girls!
