The RDC is an LGBTQ+ community center located in Roanoke, VA. It serves the Roanoke region and is located at 425 Campbell Ave SW. thru Fri. 4:00 pm -7:00 pm Sat. 12-5

🥎 PLAY Pride Softball is marking its 5th year bringing welcoming play to the community! 🎉

The idea for PLAY Pride came from a founder of Blue Ridge Pride Sports and developed in partnership with the Roanoke Diversity Center in early 2022. The first softball league began that fall and PLAY Pride later expanded to include kickball.

PLAY Pride leagues are designed to offer a safe, fun community for LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies. With PLAY Pride, the focus is not competition, but community building and the love of the game. They're a great way to meet new folks and enjoy the sport in a supportive environment.

Unlike more traditional athletic leagues, with PLAY Pride you don't need an existing team to participate. Register as an individual and teams will be assigned at random. It's $30 to sign up if it's your first time playing, or $15 if you've participated in PLAY Pride before and still have your shirt! 👕 Games will be played on Sunday mornings, September 6 through mid to late October.

Registration is open now and closes on August 31!

Thank you to MCC of the Blue Ridge for collecting snacks and drinks to support our community during RDC open hours!
We're grateful to share that this will be an ongoing ministry of MCCBR, helping ensure we always have refreshments available for those who visit the Roanoke Diversity Center.
If you'd like to help, you can bring individually wrapped snacks, bottled water, soda, or diet soda to MCCBR's 1:00 PM Sunday worship service, or drop off donations during our regular RDC open hours.
Every donation helps create a welcoming space where our community can gather, connect, and belong.

The RDC is looking for volunteers to help supervise our open hours!
The Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 4:00–7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 12:00–5:00 p.m. We are seeking individuals who are willing to commit to a weekly or biweekly shift to help build relationships and provide a safe, welcoming space for members of our community to gather.
