Rolling Into Roanoke

Rolling Into Roanoke In historic Roanoke, IN. Classic cars, boutique shops/restaurants, family fun! There’s nothing like it in all of Indiana!

Rolling Into Roanoke is a memory-lane/block-party mashup that brings families and friends to a one-of-a-kind community offering its Hallmark-esque welcome to a soundtrack of shared stories and DJ-spun tunes. Each year has its own unique energy...from cars of any era, make, and model to special features like Futurliner #10, the Batmobile, and an Indy race car selfie station. Mission & Vision

Our M

ission began as a fundraiser for the Roanoke Beautification Foundation to improve common areas in the picturesque Village of Roanoke. Since then, Rolling Into Roanoke has become its own 501(c)(3) and grown to include beneficiaries who share our vision of promoting automotive history and preservation, first responders, our youth, and families/community strength.

Our Vision—with the support of our sponsors, participants, spectators, beneficiaries, vendors, virtual community, and Roanoke itself—is to provide the most fun, auto-rich, slice-of-Americana day all summer. The rest of the year we’re driven to keep the vibe alive by sharing Rolling Into Roanoke updates, outstanding area events (especially in Roanoke), car history and news, and amusing memes. 🌴 California Dreamin’ Tribute: 1932 Ford Roadster

Frequent RIR attendees will recognize Rob Lehmann’s cool roadster. The story behind it:

“Owning a street rod had been a childhood dream that finally came to fruition after retirement. The journey actually began two years prior to leaving the workaday world. Understanding and identifying the right car to satisfy the need was daunting and filled with emotional pitfalls. But, we persevered.

The final decision: a classic open air hot rod located in North Carolina. No fenders; no heater; no A/C; no side windows. Just a cruising beast with a nasty stance.

When the car arrived in Fort Wayne, my girlfriend immediately nicknamed it “Cutie Pie.” Nasty and cute in the same breath—go figure.

Well, the nickname stuck and after more than ten enjoyable years “Cutie Pie” still gets that friendly wave or horn acknowledgement from oncoming traffic. I personally think it’s because she looks nasty.”

“Cutie Pie” definitely has an attitude...and we can’t wait to see both of you at Rolling Into Roanoke on September 19, Rob!
