LEAP could use a few volunteers!

Looking for a way to help in our community? PCC has some volunteer opportunities!

Our Pathways students are bringing in so much more homework this year, and we are having difficulty keeping up!

We need volunteer tutors/homework helpers on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Primary and Elementary classrooms from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This person will help a child go over the homework, ensure they have it all completed, and assist them with challenging/difficult questions. Sometimes it will be as simple as listening to them read, and sometimes it will be assisting them with elementary-level math problems.

If you have some time on Mondays or Tuesdays and would like to assist, please contact Volunteer Coordinator April Lewis at [email protected] or 540.982.2911 ex. 114.

🌾✨ What a delicious celebration of local food and community! ✨🌾

We’re thrilled to celebrate LEAP—a 2024 Roanoke Women’s Foundation grant winner—and their recent Farm Harvest Supper at the West End Farmers Market Pavilion! From a farm-to-table feast featuring incredible local growers and chefs, to live music from John McBroom & Friends, drinks, tours, and community connection, it was truly a joyful evening. 🎻🍽️💚

LEAP’s work supports local farmers while making fresh, nourishing food more accessible for everyone in our community. It takes a village to fight hunger, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to support an organization doing such meaningful, impactful work right here in Roanoke. 🌱

🍻🎶 Raise a glass and help feed our neighbors!

Roanoke Women’s Foundation is proud to celebrate prior grant recipient, The Lion’s Share Food Pantry, at their Oktober Feast fundraiser!

Join the fun on Friday, October 23, from 6–9 p.m. at The Maridor for live music from Tim Martin, delicious heavy hors d’oeuvres—including a country ham carving station—beer and w**e, and a fantastic silent auction! 🎸🍽️🍷

Every ticket and donation supports The Lion’s Share’s vital mission: providing a client-choice food pantry and clothing closet where neighbors can select foods that meet their family’s cultural, nutritional, and personal needs. ❤️

Last year alone, The Lion’s Share distributed more than 120,000 pounds of food—and the need continues to grow. Let’s come together to nourish our community, support local businesses, and make a meaningful difference. 🦁✨

Join LASRV and TAP Domestic Violence Services for an evening of powerful survivor stories, expert insights, and meaningful conversation about domestic violence.

The evening will feature local survivors, advocates, law enforcement, court representatives, mental health professionals, and a panel discussion focused on understanding domestic violence and how our community can support those experiencing it.

Free and open to everyone—survivors, professionals, family members, supporters, and anyone who wants to learn more.

Join us as we kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month and work together toward a safer, stronger Roanoke Valley.

Need help understanding your legal options or connecting with local resources?

Join us for Legal Aid Connect at the Presbyterian Community Center on Wednesday, September 9, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM.

Stop by to meet the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley team, learn more about free civil legal services, eligibility requirements, and how they may be able to help. Guests will also have the opportunity to ask general questions and connect with community resources.

Last evening, our members convened to drive meaningful change. Our Grants Committee presented their recommendations for the local nonprofits that will be featured on the 2026 ballot. Every woman in RWF possesses an equal voice in shaping our community's future - and every vote carries significant weight. Voting commences next week and will continue until 9/25. Subsequently, we will tally the votes and allocate our grants fund in October, culminating in a celebratory luncheon the first week of November to honor our 2026 awardees!
