The Hearing Center at HCRI
The Hearing Center is a nonprofit center providing free hearing evaluations, hearing aid solutions, precision fittings, and expert counsel to help individuals throughout the Roanoke Valley enhance the quality of their lives through better hearing.
We opened our doors in 1999 and are part of nationally recognized Hollins Communications Research Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This nonprofit status enables The Hearing Center's team to provide a distinct level of service, know-how and technology to help people optimize their hearing.
The Hearing Center offers hearing aids from all major manufacturers to match clients with the best instruments for their hearing needs – at the best possible price. In addition, the center has the engineering capability to customize devices, when needed.
Our work as a nonprofit center also includes researching new hearing technologies, enhancing the diagnostic accuracy of hearing evaluations, and improving the effectiveness of hearing devices.
