This article is informative. We really do need the floodplains and wetlands in our area and state to be protected. I’m not opposed to development, but it needs to be in the places that will do the least amount of harm. Our local community and officials need to watch the floodplain and wetland areas closely, too.

Just for fun:
If this property belonged to you, what would you do with it?
Keeping in mind that it is floodplain and all that it means.
If you are someone who drives or lives around this area: I’m genuinely curious: what would you do with this property?

We won a battle but still not the war.
