🎄🩰 It may be hard to think about the holidays while we’re still dealing with summer heat, but the Southwest Virginia Ballet is already preparing for a beloved holiday tradition — “The Nutcracker”!

And they’re looking for young dancers to join this magical community production. ✨

Community auditions are Sunday, September 13, from 1–5 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Ballet studio, 3719 Brambleton Ave. SW in Cave Spring.

Dancers ages 7–18 are invited to audition, with roles including Party Girls and Boys, Mice, Soldiers, Gingerbread Children and more!

🎟️ “The Nutcracker” takes the stage December 11 at 7 p.m. and December 12 & 13 at 3 p.m. at the Berglund Performing Arts Theatre.

Hear our conversation about the importance of community involvement and all the different ways dancers can be part of this holiday favorite! ❤️
