A heartfelt thank you to Bedrock Church Roanoke and EastLake Community Church - Roanoke Campus 💜

Recently, volunteers from both churches came together with one purpose—to serve their community.

With willing hands and servant hearts, they put together over 400 meal bags for the children of our neighbors.

These meal bags contain more than food—they are also filled with the love, care, and prayers of those who filled them.

We are also grateful for the Edgar A. Thurman Grant for their ongoing commitment to caring for children.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible. 💜

I have the privilege of serving alongside fellow volunteers who not only care for our neighbors, but also support and encourage one another. It's part of what makes Agape such a special place.

Ministry isn't always easy, but there are moments of laughter along the way. Sometimes that laughter even comes from a red wagon ride gone wrong.

At Agape, there are blessings as well as challenges that unfold behind the scenes. There are quiet burdens carried, tearful prayers whispered, and countless moments of compassion that go unseen.

Through it all, friendships are formed, laughter is shared, and challenges are faced together. 💜

Thank you, volunteers, for sacrificing your time, sharing your gifts, and serving our neighbors and one another with compassion and Agape love. 💜

Serving doesn’t have an age requirement. 👍

One of the sweetest blessings at Agape is watching young people learn to serve others with compassion and joy.

Some have served by stocking shelves, sorting clothes, organizing toys — and even turning cardboard boxes into robots. 🤖

Some moments are meaningful.
Some are hilarious.
And all of them matter.

Thank you to the families and teachers who have brought their children and students to serve alongside us. We are blessed by their laughter, busy hands, and willing hearts. 👍

Some of the most meaningful ministry happens quietly behind the scenes. 💜

Linda has been faithfully serving at Agape since the very first day we opened.

She serves in our clothing department, sorting, hanging, and preparing donations for the neighbors who come through Agape. Her faithful work behind the scenes helps turn donated items into a blessing for others.

When asked why she serves, Linda shared:
“I love serving and helping meet the needs of our Neighbors.”

We’re so thankful for volunteers like Linda who serve with joy, compassion, and a heart for others.

Everyone deserves to feel remembered and celebrated. 🎁

For the month of June, we’re collecting items to help fill care kits for the men we serve throughout the year.

Each care kit is a simple way to show our male neighbors that someone cares.

Suggested items include:
• Deodorant
• Body Wash
• Shaving Cream
• Disposable Razors
• Flashlights
• Men’s Devotionals

You can drop your items off between 10-2 on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
