Diaper Duty started in 2023 as our very first community diaper drive, a simple challenge to Southwest Virginia to help us collect diapers and wipes for families who couldn't afford them. The response was overwhelming. And every year since, it's only grown.

Diapers typically aren't covered by SNAP or WIC. And for too many moms in Southwest Virginia, that gap is something they face alone every single month.

1 in 2 families struggle to provide enough diapers for their baby.

Every diaper collected through Diaper Duty goes directly into our Support Shop and out to the families who need it most, completely free of charge, no barriers, no judgment. 💜

Collection runs through October 16th, and we still need your help to hit our goal. Whether you donate a pack or organize a team, every contribution makes a real difference for a real family right here in our community.

When a mom needs diapers, essential baby supplies, lifesaving maternal health education, or postpartum support, Huddle Up Moms is here to help - at no cost to the mothers we serve.

But free services aren’t free to provide. Every diaper distributed, every blood pressure cuff given, every mom supported, and every connection made depends on the generosity of our community.

For a lot of moms in Roanoke, we're the last line of support. 💜

When the visitors stop coming and the healthcare system moves on, we're still here. Running education programs, delivering essential resources, and walking alongside families who are figuring out motherhood with no roadmap and nowhere else to turn.

There's a whole population of moms that public programs don't reach and private care doesn't serve.

In Southwest Virginia, we see them every single day, postpartum, isolated - and navigating systems that weren't designed for them. They're working moms, single moms, moms holding everything together, with nothing left in the tank and few other options.

And the numbers make it even clearer. 1 in 3 families in Southwest Virginia experience diaper poverty, with some skipping meals just to afford them. Southwest Virginia is increasingly becoming a maternity care desert, with rural hospital closures cutting off access to prenatal and postpartum care. And once a mom passes her 6-week checkup, connection to the system largely disappears, leaving her to navigate recovery, mental health, and newborn care entirely on her own.

We exist for those moms. Because nobody should fall through the cracks just because they don't fit the right income bracket. 💜

Through our diaper bank, free blood pressure monitoring, mental health navigation, and peer support networks, we're building the safety net Southwest Virginia's moms deserve.

High blood pressure and preeclampsia can develop during pregnancy, and even after delivery, sometimes without obvious symptoms. Pregnancy-related cardiovascular complications can increase a woman’s risk of cardiovascular disease later in life.

Moms Under Pressure was designed to raise awareness, encourage moms to know their numbers and recognize warning signs, and connect expecting moms with education, resources, and support.

🚨 1 in 3 families in Southwest Virginia experience diaper poverty.

For too many parents, diapers aren't just expensive—they're an impossible choice. Families are skipping meals and sacrificing other basic needs just to keep their babies clean and dry.

That's why Huddle Up Moms operates the first nationally recognized diaper bank in Southwest Virginia. But the need is growing, and we need our community to step up.

🔥 It's time for DOUBLE DUTY!
We're challenging 40 teams to join Roanoke Diaper Duty 2026 and help us collect:
🧷 40,000 diapers
🧼 200,000 baby wipes

That's double the impact for babies and families right here in Southwest Virginia.
