This branch of Sigma Gamma Rho serves the Roanoke Valley and surrounding area with various service projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was founded by seven educators on November 12, 1922 at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sigma Gamma Rho is an international non-profit organization that addresses concerns impacting society educat

ionally, civically and economically through various national and local initiatives and programs. Members aim to enhance the quality of life within the community through public service, leadership development, and education of youth. The sorority has more than 500 chapters in the United States, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Germany, Korea and the U. Virgin Islands.

Today, the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Mu Theta Sigma Alumnae Chapter donated $400 in Walmart gift cards to the faculty and staff of Gaston STEM Leadership Academy as a small token of appreciation for a job well done this school year.Founded by seven educators, Sigma Gamma Rho recognizes the impact educators make daily. The members of Mu Theta Sigma Alumnae Chapter (MTS) warmly welcome our Poodles in Boots, Soror Beverly Moore, home from the Navy while also showing sisterly love as she prepares to depart for Guam in one week.
