TRENDING NEWS: For Amari Benjamin, Max M. Fisher Youth of the Year Club Level Winner, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County became more than a place to go after school. It became his safe space, his second home, and a place that helped change the course of his life. Through challenges, Amari never gave up. When he found the Club, he found a community that welcomed him, supported him, and saw his potential.

“I was welcomed, supported, and believed in,” Amari shared.

For the first time in a long time, he felt like he mattered. Today, his story is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact a safe place, caring mentors, and a community of support can have on a young person’s life.

Amari left us with a message for everyone who helps make that possible:

“For anyone who works at, supports, or simply believes in the mission of the Boys & Girls Club, thank you. You might not know the impact you have; I am standing here today because of you.”

And to every young person who may feel afraid, uncertain, or alone: your story is not over. At Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, we care about you, we believe in your potential, and we are here to help you build your future.

DID YOU KNOW?đź’ˇ

Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County isn’t limited to the walls of our traditional Club locations. Our programs extend into local high schools, allowing us to meet teens where they are and provide opportunities that build connection, encourage learning, and create a sense of belonging.

At Forest Hill High School, that recently meant celebrating National Horchata Day! As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, our teens had the opportunity to experience and taste horchata, a traditional drink enjoyed across many Hispanic and Latino communities. For many, it was their very first time trying it!

It may seem like a simple activity, but experiences like these create opportunities for our teens to try something new, learn about different cultures and traditions, and connect with one another. Whether inside a Club or on a high school campus, we’re creating opportunities for young people to learn, belong, and experience something new together. 💙

Rosenwald Elementary Dance Team: Moving with Pride

Through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, our dance team gives members a place to express themselves, build confidence, and discover talents they never knew they had. Every count, every turn, and every formation takes hard work, and these kids put in that work with smiles on their faces. đź’™

Our dancers don’t just learn routines. They learn how to show up, keep going when it gets hard, and believe in themselves. Those are lessons they’ll carry long after the music stops.

🙌 A huge thank you to Ms. Robinson for the time, patience, and love poured into these young dancers, and to our families for the rides, the cheers, and the endless support. We couldn’t do it without you!

South Bay, these are YOUR dancers. Let’s show them some love!

Last month, our Club members continued to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by exploring the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Through music, dance, colorful arts and crafts, maraca-making, paper flowers, and other hands-on activities, our youth had the opportunity to learn, create, and celebrate together. đź’™

While Hispanic Heritage Month gives us a special opportunity to recognize these cultures and traditions, our commitment to celebrating the diverse backgrounds of our youth and communities continues all year long.

Every month, Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County works to create spaces where young people can learn about one another, celebrate what makes them unique, and feel a true sense of belonging. By bringing culture, community, and connection into our Clubs throughout the year, we help our youth develop respect for others, pride in who they are, and a deeper connection to the community around them.

We kicked off the Keystone Year in style at Keystone Fall Fest on Friday, October 16th, 2026! We celebrated all our Keystone Chartered Clubs and all our Keystone Officers, Members & Advisors with a night of music, games, food, culture, a photo booth, and prizes.

Keystone is the ultimate teen program of the Boys & Girls Club Movement, building leaders ages 14–18. Guided by our staff, Keystoners focus on three areas: academic success, career preparation, and community service, making a positive impact on their peers, Clubs, and communities.

TRENDING NEWS: Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County was proud to join local leaders and organizations last month for an important conversation about the future of our community and the opportunities we can create for the next generation.

Through collaboration, shared resources, and strong partnerships, we can continue to open doors for young people and ensure they have access to the experiences, skills, and support they need to succeed.

"STEM is everything from science, technology, engineering, and math, and it is embedded into everything we do, especially social media. Our kids love looking at and exploring careers like healthcare and more," said Jaene Miranda, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

When community leaders come together, new possibilities begin.
