With 10 years of marketing experience across consulting, construction, and real estate, Blair brings a background spanning proposal development, client engagement, and team leadership. At Kimley-Horn, she works closely with regional leadership to align goals, resources, and strategies that help move the business forward.

Blair is especially passionate about mentoring others, building strong teams, and bringing different perspectives together to collaborate and solve problems.

Meet SMPS South Florida member David Weber, Senior Pursuits Coordinator at Moss & Associates!

David’s career has taken him from proofreading and page design for a global news outlet to business development proposals and, ultimately, the A/E/C industry, where he has built a strong background and interest in transportation pursuits.

Now part of Moss & Associates’ Preconstruction team and building his network here in South Florida, David sees SMPS as an opportunity to connect with fellow marketing professionals, share the successes and challenges of our industry, and continue learning new skills.

We're back with the second installment of our SERC 2026 insights series, featuring key takeaways shared by SMPS South Florida member Melissa Bailes of Hedrick Brothers Construction.

In Part 1, we explored how AI is reshaping visibility. This next insight answers the natural follow-up:

What actually separates the firms that win more work?

One message came through loud and clear at SERC: the firms seeing the greatest growth aren't simply marketing more. They're marketing with greater intention.

They invest in visibility long before a pursuit begins, align marketing and business development early, and focus on what buyers value most: expertise, trusted relationships, a deep understanding of client needs, and proven results.
