With 20 years in the surveying industry, Leigh Anne has gained experience across all aspects of the profession. Her company is a third-generation, family-owned business that has been serving clients since 1988.

Leigh Anne looks forward to building relationships with fellow SMPS South Florida members, learning from others, and getting involved in the chapter. She also participates in the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society, Construction Association of South Florida, and Davie/Cooper City Chamber of Commerce.

This month’s spotlight is on Ricardo E. Gonzalez III, who leads business development and marketing at REG Architects in West Palm Beach.

Ricardo represents the third generation of the family-owned firm and has spent the past four years guiding its business development and marketing strategy. His background also includes work as a public insurance adjuster, where he gained knowledge of Florida’s insurance landscape and residential and commercial construction.

Having attended chapter networking events and the SERC Conference in West Palm Beach, Ricardo looks forward to connecting with fellow members, building his skills, and exchanging ideas.

He is also involved in several community and industry organizations, including serving as the 2026–2027 Chair of the Palm Beach North Chamber’s Young Professionals Council and mentoring through Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Becca is Senior Marketing Manager, Pursuit Marketing, at Suffolk, leading strategic proposal efforts for complex projects throughout South Florida. Her background includes more than 12 years with a construction firm in New York and a degree from Elon University’s School of Communications. She values collaboration, mentorship, and helping teams grow.

Having recently relocated from New York, Becca looks forward to connecting with industry professionals, learning more about the South Florida construction market, and building her local network.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor those facing breast cancer, celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost, and support the families, friends, colleagues, and caregivers walking alongside them.

This month is also a reminder to care for ourselves and one another: schedule screenings, check in on someone you love, share resources, and get involved in efforts that advance awareness, access, and support.

As an A/E/C community, our work is built around people. Let’s bring that same care into our workplaces, families, and communities.
