Your donations allow us to continue to support the young men and women that we serve. Because of the generosity of our community, we have been able to provide educational, social, and community service initiatives for youth across our county. Over the last 12 months, we launched our first-ever young women's empower initiative, Ladies of Distinction. We have conducted more than 20 community service projects, hosted our first annual program banquet, and launched our inaugural Youth entrepreneurship conference. We are very excited to go into 2022 with bigger, better momentum and making more impact. Your continued support will allow planning and ex*****on of our first quarter programming, allowing us to touch more young people and change lives. We can't do without you. Would you please give a donation of $25 or more this giving Tuesday to Young Men Of Distinction?

The poverty rate is still the highest for Black students
In 2018, nearly one third of Black students lived in poverty (32%), compared with 10% of white students in families living in poverty. The percentage of Black students who lived in households where the highest level of education attained by either parent was a bachelor’s or higher degree was 27%, compared with 69% of Asian students and 53% of white students.

The Center for Public Education selected relevant data from the Condition of Education to help school leaders not only monitor the educational progress of Black students, but also rethink what public schools can do better for Black students.
