Congratulations to all 102 award recipients for your outstanding service, commitment, and contributions to advancing traffic safety throughout Palm Beach County. Your efforts help make our roads and communities safer every day.

We would also like to extend special recognition to our Master of Ceremonies, Steven Graves (WPBF 25 News); the PBSO Honor Guard; National Anthem performer Heather Durand; Invocation speaker Deacon Peter Del Valle; Chairman of the Board Nicole Coates; and our Keynote Speaker, Dave Kerner (FLHSMV), for helping make this celebration so meaningful.

Yesterday we held our 40th Annual Traffic Safety Awards Luncheon. This event brings together partners from public safety, transportation, government, and community stakeholders to showcase the efforts to prevent injuries, save lives, and make our roadways safer. It’s National Teacher’s Appreciation Week. In their honor, we want to spotlight some of the Driver’s Education teachers we work with helping to make our roadways safer. Give these teachers, and all others, a big thank you, and comment on your favorite memory of a time when you were first learning to drive!
Be on the lookout! Registration for this year’s Summer School Driving Program will take place on June 11th from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. for qualifying students.

Participants will receive 6 FREE hours of Behind-the-Wheel instruction.

The following high schools are participating:
West Boca, Lake Worth, Palm Beach Lakes, Boynton Beach, Pahokee, and Wellington.

Registration will be held in each student’s cafeteria. More details can be found in the final image of this post, with additional information to follow.

Today’s session focused on chainsaw operation safety City of Riviera Beach. Participants received hands-on instruction emphasizing proper technique, personal protective equipment, and hazard awareness—critical components for preventing injuries in the field.
