🥣🌟 Riverview Comes Together to Fight Hunger! 🌟🥣

What an incredible display of community spirit!

On behalf of the Riverview Rotary Club, Riverview Kiwanis, and the Riverview Knights of Columbus, thank you to everyone who donated cereal during our Community Cereal Drive benefiting the children and families served by Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

A special thank you goes out to those who dropped off cereal at Riverview City Hall, the Riverview Veterans Memorial Library, the Riverview Police Department, and Riverview Community High School. Your generosity will make a real difference in the lives of local families facing food insecurity.

The cereal collected through this nearly month-long community effort will be distributed through Gleaners Community Food Bank and the St. Cyprian Food Pantry, helping ensure that children and families throughout our area have access to a nutritious breakfast.

This drive was a true team effort made possible through the partnership of Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Gleaners, St. Cyprian Food Pantry, the Riverview Rotary Club, Riverview Kiwanis, Riverview Knights of Columbus, Riverview Community High School Key Club, and so many caring residents who answered the call to help.

I would also like to personally thank fellow Rotarians and Knights of Columbus members Scott Williams and Bruce Kresslein, who devoted a good part of their Sunday to helping collect, sort, load, and transport the donated cereal. Their willingness to serve our community exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism that makes Riverview such a special place to call home.

When communities work together, amazing things happen. Thank you, Riverview, for once again proving that we are a city that cares for our neighbors and steps up when help is needed.

🥣 Riverview Community Unites to Fight Hunger! 🥣

One of the many things that makes Riverview such a special community is our willingness to come together to help neighbors in need. This May, the City of Riverview is proud to partner with Gleaners Community Food Bank, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, the Riverview Rotary Club, Riverview Kiwanis, Riverview Knights of Columbus Council #13980, and the Riverview Community School System for our Community Cereal Drive!

Many children rely on school breakfast programs during the school year, but those meals are often unavailable during the summer months. Together, we can help fill that gap by donating boxes of cereal to help local families through Gleaners Community Food Bank and St. Cyprian Food Pantry.

📍 Join us for our FINAL COMMUNITY COLLECTION EVENT:
🗓 Saturday, May 30th
⏰ 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
📍 Riverview City Hall Parking Lot

Can’t make it Saturday? No problem! Donations can still be dropped off at:
✅ Riverview City Hall
✅ Riverview Police Department
✅ Riverview Veterans Memorial Library

Every box of cereal donated helps provide a child with a healthy start to their day. Thank you to all of our incredible community partners, volunteers, students, and residents for once again showing what Riverview is all about — neighbors helping neighbors.

Together, we can make a difference… one box at a time. 💙

🎶 Riverview’s Fifth Annual Concert-on-the-Course is Back! 🎶

The Riverview Rotary Club and the City of Riverview are excited to once again host one of the community’s favorite summer traditions — Concert-on-the-Course at Riverview Highlands Golf Course Practice Facility!

This “Pine Knob-style” community concert continues to grow bigger and better every year, and this year’s featured entertainment will be the incredible Transit Brothers brass band performing their exciting Huey Lewis and the News Experience!

📅 Sunday, July 19th
🕒 Gates Open: 3:00 PM
🎸 Opening Act Begins: 4:00 PM featuring acoustic guitarist Steve Washburn
📍 Riverview Highlands Golf Practice Facility off Sibley Road

We’re encouraging everyone attending to bring TWO canned goods to help support the St. Cyprian Food Pantry.

There will be food trucks, treats, beverages, and a great evening of music and community fellowship.

We are currently seeking community sponsors to help keep this event FREE to the public. Sponsors will receive recognition through event signage, social media promotions, and local advertising.

Please see the attached sponsorship flyer for full details and sponsorship opportunities.

Let’s make this another unforgettable evening in the City of Riverview — Downriver’s Biggest Small City! 🎵🎸☀️

What a wonderful and uplifting National Day of Prayer here in the City of Riverview.

I would like to personally thank Lead Pastor Ryan Nissley of Grace Church for the tremendous effort, leadership, and heart he poured into organizing this year’s event. Pastor Ryan’s commitment to faith, community, and bringing people together was clearly evident throughout the ceremony.

It was especially meaningful to see our Riverview Police Honor Guard, students from Riverview Community High School and Gabriel Richard Catholic High School, along with city leadership and public safety officials all coming together in prayer for our community, our nation, and one another.

Thank you to City Manager Jeff Dobek, Police Chief John Allen, Fire Chief Glenn Owens, the Rotary Club of Riverview for sponsoring the event, and everyone who attended and participated.

Riverview is truly blessed to be a community where faith, service, leadership, and civic pride continue to come together for the greater good.

As Pastor Ryan said so well — “The Best Is Yet To Come!”
