Girl Scouts Camp Dorothy Thomas

Girl Scouts from Palm Harbor conquered the elements this weekend while camping in tents and hammocks in Riverview at Girl Scouts Camp Dorothy Thomas. The girls in this area were middle and high schoolers and they braved the wind chill advisories on Saturday night. They learned how important layers are to keep warm in both tents and hammocks. I hear the hammock ladies were really quite warm!

Thank you to the girls in troop 32209 who spent the day restoring the CDT daisy bridge. The girls painted, cleared paths and created a night hike area. Great work, girls!

for everyone. #❤️ our crews in started a large project for the . Their beautiful 198 acre was hit hard by . We sent 25 amazing and to help restore the camp to its gorgeous pre storm condition. At the end of today we were met with boxes and bags of the most known to man and a variety of other girl@scout cookies. How is that?

Thank you Fossil Valley troop 3535 for your bronze award project. The girls installed all new curtains at Holiday House that they made themselves! Looks wonderful.

Our 2nd annual Perseid Meteor Shower event was attended by over 200 girls, troop leaders and adult volunteers last weekend. Special thanks to Michelle Gagnard and family for their extraordinary organization of the events. What an awesome night!

More High Awards! Last weekend, the girls from Fossil Valley 3524 completed their Bronze Award by constructing tetherball arenas at CDT. Thank you to all participants and adult volunteers!
