October is fast approaching and is also breast cancer awareness month. Here is a challenge starting today,...we challenge women to schedule a mammogram in the month of October. When your mammogram is scheduled reply, scheduled and the date. Let's see if we can get a mammogram scheduled for everyday in October. Early detection saves lives by as much as 40%!!! If you need assistance with the cost of a mammogram ask your local hospital or clinic who offers mammograms to refer you to mammogram assistance programs. Lives are saved by early detection. Go get those "girls" squeezed. 🩷🩷🩷

Despite Mother Nature lurking in the background with the "severe" weather warnings...Fremont County prevailed. Not a drop of rain, lightening, hail or severe wind dampened a very special evening. Infact, rays of sunshine shined down...no doubt from some very special friends in Heaven. Thank you to our buyers....words don't truly show our deepest gratitude. But thank you...Jerry Dilts and Liz Philp, Mike and Mandy Portschy/Fritz's Auto Repair, Matt and Kari Root/101 Livestock, to our two private donors, to everyone who stopped by our booth and purchased merchandise and offered more donations AND to the attendees of the rodeo. YOU turned the stands PINK!!! YOU honored the memory of Rhonda Slack and Tammy Lynn. And together....YOU raised $7200 for your friends and neighbors right here...in Fremont County who are fighting the fight. Thank you Fremont County!!!! 🩷

A very special pair of chinks has been crafted in memory of his Mom, Rhonda Slack. Ransom Slack braved the smell of leather, the hum of his mother's sewing machine, knowing the memories would surface. Knowing the flood of emotions would come. But he persevered because his Mom earned this honor. Rhonda lost her battle with cancer this year. She knew last year was the last time she would craft the chaps and the chinks for us. Rhonda didn't want pity...she wanted to live the last year of her life to the fullest...and live she did; Ransom made sure of it. His last honor to his Mom are these chinks. They will be live auctioned July 29th during the Wind River PRCA Rodeo Roundup. Proceeds to benefit the Tough Enough To Help Cancer Fund. Currently, both the chaps and chinks are on display at the Riverton Boot Barn. Ransom, your Mom is beaming with her big beautiful smile with so much pride and love for you. Thank you for your generosity and honoring your Mom and helping the other Fremont County residents who are fighting the fight.
