EnLevo Helping people in remote jungle villages of Guatemala create sustainable lives. Cahabon includes 210 indigenous Mayan villages, approximately 100,000 people.

enLevo is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to helping people in developing countries, especially those in extreme poverty, improve their quality of life through our “Sustainable Lives” program. Our organization works to help people focus on changing and improving their lives instead of just giving them things they need or desire. Currently we are focusing our efforts in Cahabón, a municipality in the Guatemalan department of Alta Verapaz.

Happy World Health Day! 🌍 At EnLevo, we know that building community health often starts with a chicken coop. Providing families in Guatemala with a reliable source of protein is the foundation for kids to grow up strong. 🐔

But true well-being nourishes the mind as well as the body. We are thrilled to watch mothers and children learn together at our three indigenous preschools! Empowering families through both nutrition and education is how we build a healthier, brighter future.

The Power of a Name
A mother learning to write her own name is one of the most powerful moments you can witness. ✏️ In the Jungles of Guatemala, many women never had the chance to attend school, but our preschools give them a second chance to learn with dignity alongside their children.

Today is Giving Tuesday, and your gift can change a child’s entire future.
In rural Guatemala, many children start school without knowing a single letter or number. The mothers cannot help because they cannot read. The EnLevo preschool brings mothers and children into the classroom together, learning side by side in their Mayan language.
Give the gift of preschool today and help a family rise.

🌍✨ Happy International Mother Language Day! ✨🌍

In the remote Indigenous villages we serve, families speak Q’eqchi’—a beautiful and ancient Mayan language that carries generations of wisdom, tradition, and identity. 💬🌱

Language is more than words—it’s the heart of a culture, the rhythm of its stories, and the melody of its songs. Today, we celebrate Q’eqchi’ speakers and all who keep their mother tongue alive! 🥰📖

Let’s honor the languages that shape us! Share a word or phrase in your mother tongue below. 👇💛
