The DEANA Foundation

The DEANA Foundation Our mission at the Deana Foundation is to provide financial relief for caregiving to middle class families affected by dementia. The D.E.A.N.A.

This foundation was inspired by Deana Alves, who was diagnosed with a rare form of dementia (known as semantic dementia) at the young age of 50. Foundation (the Dementia Expense and Nursing Assistance Foundation) was created in hopes to lift some of the financial burden off of middle class families which, as learned firsthand from Deana's family, is a huge need in the dementia community. This foun

It has been a year-long process, but The DEANA Foundation has officially closed its doors. Through all of your generous contributions, we have been able to sustain our current grant recipients throughout this time. We have donated our remaining funds to Hilarity For Charity and we are grateful that they have agreed to continue support for our remaining recipients.

Even though we have closed our doors, we (as individuals), will continue our advocacy for dementia caregivers. HFC has set up a donation page in Deana's honor. We hope that you will continue to support our efforts (and the foundation's legacy) in helping families affected by dementia.
