I know most of you know this by now, but after much prayer and wisdom seeking, I have accepted a childrens ministry position at my church in Birmingham. I am so excited for this next chapter, but this means Quest Kids Club will be closing its doors in a few weeks.
I am still in awe of what God has done in the past 8 years through Quest and in my own life. It’s crazy to think that I was a wee little 23 year old when God started orchestrating things for QKC to come to fruition. Countless people supported our ministry over the years through their giving, prayers, encouragement, and time. I got to be a small part of 500+ kid’s lives, got to see many children give their lives to Jesus, got to know some great families, and got to mentor and work with some amazing staffers. I’m beyond grateful to the Lord for allowing me to be a part of the ministry that is Quest Kids Club.
To celebrate all that God has done and to see everyone (hopefully) one last time, we will be hosting a Quest Family Christmas Party at QKC on Thursday December 9 from 5:30-6:30pm. Stop by for as little or long as you’d like and see some old staffers, eat some cookies, and celebrate with us one last time! All current and previous quest kids, families, board members, donors, and staffers are invited!
I’d love to thank a few people specifically and publicly who made Quest Kids Club a reality and kept us running smoothly: My dad and co-owner Ric Callahan, my mom and encourager extraordinaire Carla Black Callahan, Don Raughton, Charlie Browning, Greg Bain and his entire team at Bain & Co CPA, Bill Warren, James Spann, Erskine Funderburg, Valerie Leonard, Jeff Culton, my girls - you know who you are, the Sanders family, the Weems Family, and so many others I could go on for hours! May the Lord bless you and keep you! Thank you for investigating in me and in this ministry! Praise the Lord for all He has done through Quest Kids Club!!
